I like a large toolkit and a playstyle that is more towards the cc cc cc until an opportunity to punish nuke the first enemy player who makes a mistake or just anyone who looks to be in worst situation at the moment. But generally, I would like to know how rog specs play and feel in 3v3/shuff, and the current learning cuve for each spec.
Probably assassin since it’s the easiest but still very strong.
I think outlaw is second easiest rogue spec but I have not played rogue past the leveling stage in tww. So I couldn’t be sure
Play Outlaw, it’s the best spec in the game.
Assa is probably the easiest of the Rogue specs. Your like of ‘punishing mistakes’ is probably suited to Sub the most but Sub is nothing compared to the other 2, and you will be more frustrated playing Sub in Shuffle than the other 2 since people will constantly put people on stun dr.
But if I was a beginner, I’d play Assa.
One thing to possibly consider is Assa/Sub use the same stats roughly whilst Outlaw uses completely different gear outside the tier set.

if you go outlaw stat prio you cant really play sub or assa, thats the main thing to consider. Of the 3 to play? I’d go either Assa or outlaw.
