I just enabled wm on all my toons and today I did call to arms stormsong valley .a lot of fun .
I think people who don’t turn wm on are missing on a lot of fun and suspense .
said nobody.
thanks for sharing this great experience, very cool, much appreciated
I also enjoy war mode a lot. The people crying about it are mostly just people that are getting farmed by other players, there are actually very little valid complaints.
I have turned it off few days ago.
I don’t feel so good, mrs Meow.
There are always 3 of them around me, don’t want to be a quest for alliance pro pvp “you just got outmaneuvered, scrub” epic community.
Except for my rogue, she is with wm on for obvious reasons like reseting fights.
I have it off ever since Alliance is “incentivized” with extra boons and loot.
I am no taking part in this injustice, and it’s actually more fun not being farmed by a raid groups after resets.
It sure can be fun. But having to fight off 5 to 25 horde at every summoning stone as Alliance does get dull rather quickly.
The random group fights and 1v1/2v2/w.e. are joyful. And nothing beats kiting a 220k rogue through half Vol’dun on a newly dinged char…before he walked away, oh that always makes me smile.
Well that hasn’t really been the case for a good 2/3 weeks now. Or is that 5% difference deal-breaking?
People with warmode off are scrubs straight up
There’s a lack of perspective from the community when it comes to wpvp. Somehow, the community is instilled by this notion that wpvp has to be this grandeur battlefield reminiscent of the old Tarren Mill in order to be wpvp and that anything but is just ganking.
This is just as much wpvp as the big battles are. I enjoy smaller skirmishes myself. I typically do wpvp alongside at least one or two friends, but it happens that I do it solo as well. If the enemy faction is dominating an area in which I need to quest, I’ll have to give up on that area for the time being. That is not a punishment, that’s just one of the rules of wpvp.
And I agree with the OP, it is fun. Because without it, how much is the content really worth?
It does have its fun moments, and it’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Although it is far from perfect. Far, far from it.
I could not imagine doing invasions as Horde on an RP realm as a non-stealther class. Quite often there are 4 or 5 Alliance for every 1 Horde (we are linked with other RP servers in WM, of which Alliance are the majority).
Horde are rarely grouped up to fight against the Alliance ganksquad, because we have to wait 15-20 minutes in BG queues and you can’t be grouped and queued at the same time. I really wish they would remove that pointless and arbitrary restriction.
No reason to go WM as healer.
No decent healer will be dying 1vs1 to a DPS.
And the dps will not die either
But for real. Who am i going to heal? There are no … world-unit-frames, or something. WM is not created for getting 1vs1 fights.
Well i like warmode to me its fun as hell but then again i am not afraid of little bit of random deaths like too many alliance seems to be.
Yeah such as being hunted by 40 man pvp raiding parties with absolutely no chance to fight back.
Such fun!
Yesterday i watched few PvP “heroes” with gear that is bad even for leveling tried to kill fully decked horde tauren fury warrior who had pocket healer.
They did ran to the meat grinder over and over and over again. Sometimes i wonder what is moving in the heads of those kind of people i mean why the F would you run agains fury warrior with almost 230k hp with your hp being around 70-90k.
Its not even rare on alliance side to see such things.
Problem is not the 40 man groups the real problem is the mindset that Alliance has its like our faction is allergic to grouping up and winning.
When on a rare occasion we do group up the fights between two raid groups are even and fair most of the time.
Its just that for some reason alliance really dislikes socializing and making groups to do anything.
Its the endresult of having streamlined everything out of the game that encouraged socilaization.
The question is a lot more: Why the flying ***** does the server sharding script not pit raid groups against raiding groups?
6 months of bfa with permanently turned on warmode and i have seen an actual war 2 times, and both of those were at the start of the expansion in darkshore when everything was new.
99.8% of the times warmode can be described by one single line: “A large group of ppl ganking individual/single players”.
Warmode features everything but actual war.
Yes it’s very fun getting obliterated by flight path camping Alliance raids, ima go activate it right now…
I am sorry if you don’t know how to use start a group button .
