When and if will they announce a collector’s edition?
And if I buy the digital version now, I heard some say you could get a refund or something if you also bought the collectors edition later when it becomes available?
So is it safe to buy the digital stuff now or should I wait and order the collectors edition?
Peeking at the past CE, they may sell it (in)directly around a half year from Retail Launch.

From the previous promotions if you add a physical CE key to your account, whatever digital edition you bought will be refunded to your BNET balance. This hasn’t changed but you could wait for more info closer to launch.

Well for DF it launched past year at 28/29 Nov 2022 and the end date for an automated balance refund is this year 31st Dec. I can safely say, you get ample time to find and turn in a key if they decide to do it again.

If they go the Diablo IV way, there won’t be a game code in the box, only physical goodies, and tbh it’s better this way, we won’t have to wait for the boxes to arrive, could buy the base edition of the game and not forced with the epic.
I don’t think it would be better without the game code in the box, you will end up buying twice the amount for the same volume of goodies. I LOVE getting the CE box and getting the code from it, I sincerely hope CE makes a come back like previous expansions. super excited!
If the box is not in the box, the box itself could be cheaper.
