War Within - Epic Edition Early Access

“People are making too big of a deal of it”

I wouldn’t say so. If you just roll over and let companies walk all over you, they will. Blizz are being scummy AF and people are right to call them out.

im not broke irl . and i play on stock exchange a bit too

maybe thats why i dont mind spending some money on virtual game which is wow ?

and ye im one of those people who are really happy about blizz introducing char boosts to wolk . 60 euro is in my eyes fair price to skip so many hours on leveling .

ith they introduced such booosts to classic era servers too - would revitalise them .

I do say so. And I don’t find it scummy and I certainly don’t feel like they’re walking all over me. All of that sounds very overdramatic to me.

Dude. There was zero mention about PvP. They will care about it as much as we care about vomit.

3 days without poor people will be awesome

To be fair, nobody is letting company rolling over them. They create the product and they sell it.

You either buy it or don’t - you get to decide. It’s their product = their rules. You are not chained by them to do so, against your will.

Exactly. Just like all those other decisions that influence how fast you progress.
Do you play for hours on end; or take a healthier approach and pace yourself?
Do you take your time and enjoy the experience or rush through everything?

Etc etc. It’s all just decisions.

i find it epecialy funny because how yesterday i was like so issapointed with their rumble game - already uninstaled it and almsot forgotten - yet i dont doubt there are many people out htere who spend much more money on it since yesterday then i did on 11.0 tonight

Early Access in MMO is BAD idea. 20 dollars to play 3 days ahead. Really scummy. I personally don’t care about 3 days, but players left withing WoW will not like this.

I didnt call you broke nor poor, it was an euphemism to try to get you to see the root problem, which you clearly choose to ignore.

I dont see the 60 boost in wotlk to be a problem either as it doesnt undermine any leveling experience for people who already leveled in tbc

I truly hope something will be done since this is catching some attention with us and the Yanks: Early Access for Epic Edition? NO! - Community / General Discussion - World of Warcraft Forums (blizzard.com)

but knowing blizzard, they going to keep this no matter what.

Judging from the overall comments across the boards, plans of me and my friends as small unrepresentative sample, Blizz is going to earn a lot from this.

Plus it seems that it is standard across the industry nowadays.

It isn’t really just a case of that, though.

They’re being manipulative.
This is a social game. People want to play with their friends on launch.
This is a competitive game. People want an edge, and even if there isn’t a huge edge, there is still an edge nonetheless.

No, you don’t have to buy it, of course you don’t.

But thousands of people will, and Blizzard knows that, and they’re prepared to alienate a whole bunch of their players because of that.

We have the right to complain about that, it’s not being overdramatic.

This is a huge problem in the gaming industry, and when people just roll over and hand over their cash like good little boys and girls, it sets a precedent for the entire gaming industry.

I am choosing not to buy it, and I am also choosing to complain about it. As I would complain about unethical business practices from any company.

yea true, it’s the new norm.

I don’t know, I don’t see anything else besides a producer selling their product and choosing the marketing that might work, according to their feelings.

I agree with your right to complain, nothing wrong with it.

If it cuts down 50% of the server stress, happy days! … Also, for 20bucks extra to hero edition, you get 30 days playtime, beta access and some stuff… where is the issue other than ppl just looking for something to b1tch about, oh sorry…forgot, its the best community in the world…or what they said in the keynote… damn, get a grip!

That’s a very disingenuous way to look at it.
It’s 20 dollars more for:

  • Beta access.
  • 3 day early access.
  • 30 days of gametime.
  • Squally.
  • Toy.
  • Hearthstone effect.
  • 250 more tender than heroic.

That’s a lot more than ‘just 3 days’. Hell, if you count the 30 days gametime, it’s about 7 bucks for all the rest of that list. :dracthyr_shrug:

⁴Beta Access and Early Access dates subject to change. Minimum Early Access duration is 3 days. Limited time only. Play time subject to possible outages and time zone differences. Certain endgame features, including Mythic dungeons and weekly quests, not available during Early Access. Click for more details.

enough for me to not complain about it so i’m cool with it

So there’s plenty there without the 3 days playtime?

It’s almost like they could remove that.

If they did, then it was false advertising.
They’re not going to get themselves into that kind of trouble.
