renown rep grinding isnt really possible as its a one time only so that means you cant keep farming it daily while in dragonflight you can keep doing it everyday and when its ready but in this current expansion you can do it once and no more.
Renown in Dragonflight was character specific. Renown in War Within is Warband specific.
If you could do the same world quests on alts & get renown on all of them, you’d be max renown in a few days.
Renown was not account wide in Dragonflight. So in that sense it works in exactly the same way. Only one character can get renown for world quests, same goes for the weekly events/rares.
You don’t have to do it all on the same character, your Warlock can kill a rare and get that weekly rep, your Mage can do a few World Quests and the Theatre event, your Paladin can go do some Delves etc etc. But it will only grant the renown on one of them each. So if the Warlock goes and does the World Quests that your Mage has already completed, you don’t get to double dip.
You know I go out of my way not to do stuff in this game and I worked very hard not to gain any rep whilst levelling. Some rep is unavoidable unfortunataly, but I still managed to keep it down to the bare minimum. However, now when I check rep I have all these renown numbers and yet I’ve never even been to the Dragonflight or TWW zones on this character. Kinda what makes this game bonkers, but hey.
I’m pretty sure we will just have one character soon and a Yorha 2B wardrobe changer like a draped curtain so we can change into anything we want… Is it a bird , is it a plane, no it’s just your average Warcraft char ‘transformed’ in an instant into ‘SuperHero’. So funny… I can just imagine this troll standing there looking at your transformed character and saying ’ Who you be’? In truth, does anybody know anymore. This game be crazy.
One thing the game doesn’t let you do anymore is create a unique character… more like a facsimili of bits you have done on all your chars.
