3,126,000 gold needs to be farmed by the majority of wow-player in order for blizzard programmers to recieve gratitude for their work on this.
Are they planning to copy paste this amount on the personal bank later when it moves over to this system aswell…
even if they remove all other goldsinks in wow there is going to be a low result i think…
Currently it looks like most people don’t take the offer and stay with 1, 2 or maybe 3 tabs anyways. There are even players, who are admittedly AH goblins with tens of millions of gold who say “it’s not worth it” and buy only 2 tabs.
The per slot price for the WB, depending on if you buy 4 or 5 tabs is either over 160 or over 650 times higher than with a bank char and you could still use 1 or 2 tabs for exchanging the items with your bank char…oh and you can create more bank chars.
One bank char with over 1000 slots does cost you 1 bit over 10800 gold. 32 slot bags, full bank + 6 slots guild bank + 32 slot reagent bag + reagent bank all included.
Let’s see how long they even keep the pricing.
It’s a permanent feature that isn’t going anywhere, up to you to get it or not. I’ve got millions of gold but I ain’t getting it.
Why? Because I already got a Bank character that uses Bags to increase space for both on hand and in the bank [and further more if I decided to have a personal banking Guild for my Bank Char’s sole usage (had one before I got unceremoniously kicked from it due to inactivity transferring over to one of the people that signed its character – KICK THOSE PEOPLE, tip], and don’t see a need to get all tabs with the Warband Bank to swap around stuff between characters. The mailbox exists, and the other tabs are more than sufficient as I doubt I’ll ever run into space issues.
2.5m gold isn’t worth the “convenience” where the other tabs are more than enough.
I find it ironic that players would rush to pay 5 million for an AH mount which 95% of time they use right outside the freaking AH, but refuse to pay 3 million for 190 extra slots that will save hours down the line that would be wasted logging to alts and mailing materials and items back and forth.
I unlocked 3 slots. They are almost full already, but now I almost entirely have no need of checking Altoholic to see who has what material. When they fix it so that crafting and quest hand-ins work with Warbank too as they do with regular bank and reagent bank, we’ll be set.
You can blame Blizzard for that making it FOMO announcing it rather late in into the expansion of its removal.

Actually I don’t wonder about it at all. Mounts, same as toys, pets and transmog are collection items, nobody can replace that with an alternative. I bet there would’ve been a lot of players buying it without the auction house for the same price.
The slots are replaceable and having all 5 will save you some time down the line, but also not as much, as you’d think. At least not enough to justify a per slot price 650+ or even 160+ times the one you have with a bankchar. And let’s not forget, you can have more than one of those.
I did even read of people not playing in guilds anymore and just having a guild for all their toons + main. Not because of WB pricing, but they did it already before.
I currently have 1 tab and I might go up to 2 or maybe 3…maybe. I could afford 4, but that’s not gonna happen for the current price for sure.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to use it completely, but not at that cost. 2 Tabs for Mats, 1 tab for all kinds of usables, 1 tab for warbound and BoP gear and one for other stuff I didn’t think about yet, etc.
I think a total price of 250k or at most 350k for all tabs would’ve been accepted way better.
