Just tried fresh normal raid, and we were getting 2 pieces of gear, we later found out that people were saved and just farming raids for war bound gear. No way of finding out as a raid, but we had to individually link our saves and kick people that didn’t link or saved. I wasnt saved as we were running the raid.

This is unfortunately an exploit from what is being floated around the EU, US Forums and on other forms of social media. You shouldn’t be getting these items on a character, that has already completed the raid. If you were to do this on an alt character, that wasn’t saved, and you received that extra item, then that is fine.
But yeah, farming these items on the same characters I doubt was ever intended by Blizzard.
I think people who have done this to get a full tier set, may end up having their gear removed or receiving a temp suspension to their accounts. Of course, I doubt Blizzard will do anything now seeing as the Race For World First is just around the corner, and we know those guilds have abused this exploit as well (seeing how Echo & Method were heavily abusing the renown rank exploit earlier last week).
So I doubt we’ll see anything happen until next week at the latest.

But what the other players were doing, could indeed be a possible exploit if/when Blizzard confirms this and takes action, just like the renown exploit.
It probably doesn’t matter that he admitted to exploiting this bug/design flaw. This is the kind of exploit that is easy to track and auto-ban everyone who used it for, if Blizzard decides to take action.
With RWF happening, probably not. Most of the players in those guilds will end up banned xD

I don’t have much faith in Blizzard handling these matters without bias, so I agree with you.
They could also just disable the set bonus on those warbound pieces. They are easily identifiable.
I think they should delete the tier items and replace them with base level greens.
The more that knows about it, the faster it gets fixed.
I kinda doubt they spam raid to have a slight chance for gear , feels like they are rather runing delves and X splits on all their alts to have whatever best comp possible for each mythic boss.
This is probably bein abused by random tryhards. But maybe im wrong
