Warbound loot from World Boss

Hey guys,

So this…
" Blizzard has updated the official Patch 11.1 notes to clarify a key change for the new Undermine world boss, the Gobfather. Instead of dropping random loot tailored to a player’s specialization, the Gobfather will now guarantee a warbound-until-equipped item on your first kill each week per account ."

First week, only interested in gearing up my main.

Question, if I delete all my alts, will I guarantee cloth drops? (Not that I will, but just curious)
If my warband was only 1 character, would I only get loot type for that character.

No, you will still be able to get any armor type, regardless if you have alts that can equip it or not.

Can he still drop loot if you kill him on alts, or is it just one item for an account/week?

The official post specifies “the first kill each week per account”, so just the one item.

Really sad to see that I get a 546 (or something) leather item on my main who uses plate… and is ilvl 537.

Bad design.

next week i will try xd

Revert this hotfix and make the world boss drops tailored to your spec. And remove the ”one loot per week” rule.

Seeing as I got both the warbound item (neck) AND an item for my druid (belt, but also WoE) when I killed it on said druid, I think the post from Blizz is inadvertently misleading.

The thing is that warbound items up until now were ALWAYS bonus drops, it´s merely that in this case one is guaranteed to drop on your first kill /week

That doesn´t mean that your normal loot roll somehow magically disappears.

No, It´s one item per week guaranteed on the first kill per week. That doesn’t mean you can´t still kill it again on other chars and get loot. It simply means that, in contrast to the last 15 years of puggable worldbosses, you`re never again going to have a week where you get nothing at all from the boss no matter how often you kill it.

I was under the impression you automatically got an item for the char you killed it with. I guess my plate chest drop was pure luck then.

yeah i though the same- i guess i was luckly with mail pants then :stuck_out_tongue:

on the other hand - its liek 4th champions pants in row when i need so many other slots too

I got a leather chest on my priest, and she’s the only character I’ve been playing on so right now no character can use it, yay!

I didn’t know this, didn’t read the armour type and put on a warbound leather belt on my Paladin like the silly dead thing I am. Fortunately don’t play leather classes anyway!
