Warbound Until Equipped... Or upgraded?

I just tried to upgrade an WuE item I’ve been keeping for an alt… With my spare Valorstones on my Main, I applied a few ilvl’s to the piece.

…and now it’s soulbound? I can’t use it on my main since it’s the wrong armour type so now it’s just a dead item in my bags…

This rule of soulbinding WuE items on upgrade is absolutely tragic. Please let us use valorstones how we wish.

Come on, be logical… what currencies are used to upgrade, and are they tradable between characters?

No, no they’re not…

Boes work exactly the same way

It is logical then when you say Bind upon Equip then it is only bind when equiped.
I mean you also get a warning when you are about to equip it if you really want to do it because it will be bound then. There is no warning like this with upgrades. Only warning that you will use currency.

Did it not pop up a message saying this would bind it to you if upgraded?

Nobody reads pop up messages anyhow, so probably not the best way to inform players of anything.

But u actualy equiped it , but into upgrading slot, not into char slot, still an equip tho .

Also it has pop up window to warn you

It really annoys me when people cannot think about what possible consequences there would be to certain systems/changes they want to see in the game. From what you’re asking here it would suddenly be optimal to run an alt and make sure it has relevant crests and valorstones so that it can be an upgradeslave for any BoEs for your main character. Now everyone who isnt doing that is falling behind in gear.

You could’ve just thought twice instead of making a post.

Who is more likely to have enough currency relevant for upgrading gear? A main or a twink? Also the BoE and Warbound Gear dropping are in GS BELOW what drops normally in activities. So there is no chance a twink will be able to get more relevant gear for upgrading than a main.

So it was already equipped into a bag slot then. Congratulations, you have played yourself.

I haven’t seen raid BoEs on AH yet, but I would think they can be Champion/Heroic track. That would be too big.

I saw hero track items on the AH ranging from 99k to some hundred thousands.
If we are speaking of the same thing…not sure.

Clearly you’ve never played the start of a season. The amount of crests you can get is limited. If you can upgrade items on another character then you can effectively transfer crests from alts to mains which is a huge deal the first few weeks of a season. Why would you even reply with this stuff if you’re this out of touch with how things actually work?

Also Wue gear could be extremely rare raid drops, it could be bis trinkets. That’s going to be supervaluable. Not to mention that if you can upgrade wue gear like that, then you can likely upgrade boe gear like that as well.

The point is that the Valorstones and Crests have gone to waste.

At the very least, I’ll take a warning message on upgrade of BoE or WuE items before you upgrade, just like when equipping.

My post is really not that much of an extreme thought point…

You literally get a warning. You probably just clicked through it. You’re posting misinformation.

Just spend some time actually checking things before making suggestions on how to change the game before posting things that are completely wrong and/or bad for the game.

You’re on 17k achievement points, it’s not like you’re a new player. Do better.

Bought account :stuck_out_tongue:

Says the right person. Again the warning is about going to spend currency.

They are Champion track in the normal raid.
Got one 2 weeks ago and sold it for 500k gold.

It warns you that the item will become soulbound. Not Blizzards fault people cant read and just mindlessly click on yes (same reason why votekicks go through the majority of the time).
