Draenei = The homoerectus version of the Protoss
C’thun = The Overmind
Humans = Terrans
We can guess the future of the WarCraft lore from there.
The Light and Void will nearly wipe each other out, along with most other forced in the Universe, and only the most devoted races of each faction (The Draenei and the Humans / The Old Gods) will survive the final onslaught.
The Draenei will resume their space odyssey for millenia. Secluded in space for such a long time, their bodies will evolve to erase the need for a mouth and other useless apendages.
The Humans’ bonds to magic will be severed, and they will need to rely on technology alone to thrive as a species.
C’thun will survive, badly damage, and will eventually become the Overmind.
He will reshape the Primal Zerg in the image of the Qiraji.
This, my friends, is the future of the WarCraft lore. There is no escaping it.
I don’t disagree with you. I was under the impression it was supposed to be a shared universe from way back in the day.
I don’t think C’thun itself would survive but a new incarnation of the old gods, I would be cool with. There is nothing to stop the old gods being on another planet and evolving to become the primal zerg.
Then in the cinematic where he talks to Chromie cinematic where Iridikron with the essence of Galakrond looking into the artifact certainly looks like a shadowy Amon portrait from the pre-Legacy of the Void missions.
It’s probably a coincidence but I certainly went “hmm”.
If Azeroth is supposed to be sleeping and reality changes when she wakes up, it might be the Starcraft universe begins when Azeroth wakes up and splits the planet in twain.
Certainly don’t remember seeing any long eared… anything… in Starcraft.
Looks like the elves all become extinct in the new universe. Clearly they are an inferior form of life, unworthy of further existence. We won’t remember you!
