Warcraft Universe paintable Miniature tabletop game (basicly warhammer but warcraft)

An idea that would be incredibly fun for fans and litteraly free money printing machine for blizzard. A tabletop miniature game similar to Warhammer but in the Warcraft universe.

The miniature painting hobby seems to be on the rise, even from being extremly popular already. While i was painting some of my minis i started fantasizing how awesome it would be to be able to paint and play warcraft armies. If blizzard would hire a team to develop the game and design the minis etc i think it would be an INSTANT hit with an already huge fan base. The effort needed to pull this off and the payoff potential for me looks like a no-brainer.

Along with all the obvious factions like taurens, elves, orcs, humans etc there are so many possibilites for amazing armies to paint like murlocs, nagas, ogres, pirates etc.

This would also benefit the warcraft franchise as a whole bringing new people into the universe and being seen in more settings.

There’s 3D prints about, though officially I’d imagine it’d be a legality issue?

Warcraft WAS originally a planned Warhammer title before it fell through.

There are other paintable tabletop minis games out there. Someone can’t really copyright an entire category right? Wouldn’t that be similar to copyright the “mmorpg” game category. What i know is copyrightable however is the art (when talking games) but you can never copyright gameplay if i understand things correctly. Art being characters, stories etc.

Judging by how hard Warcraft Rumble flopped, probably a bad idea. I bet the gameplay concept of warcraft rumble would have worked well, if it was with WH40k
