So alot of vidoes in youtube out their that explains about warfront mounts… YET they forgot something that really buggs me…
first are they still available… regardless of the other question
they forgot to mention when do i get them… do it have to be during a warfront match? or just fly to the normal map and camp their? from what i understand u need to camp near the spot until they spawn… and i dont want to camp in the wrong place at the wrong time… and drop chance that i have no clue what drop chance mean
so what do i do? just go to normal darkshore and camp? or do i have to do something special?
their are some really cool mounts that i crave like the Umber saber or the chimerae so any help with this matter from someone who did it is appreciated
(i have a char level 120 so dont mind my current one)
When you’ve a Warfront active, near the table where you que you’ll find a portal, this portal takes you to the “map” your faction controls, there you’ll find the rares you need to kill in order to get the mounts.
You don’t need to que up to get them, you just need to farm the rare and it’s one per “control of you faction”.
For example: you’re Horde and Darkshore Warfront is active, you faction control Arathi, a portal to Arathi will be able, click the portal and then just need find the rare that drops the mount you want.
when you faction patrols the Area you can farm Rares. to check it up just press map, scale to Tyragarde or Zuldazar and mouseover your faction banner, which is located at WF table location.
I would recommend Tom cats rares of Arathi and Tom Cats rares of darkshore add-ons to keep track of what drops what and which you have cleared already this reset.
Both Warfront zones have rares you can kill once per rotation for a chance of a mount. They are detailed in the guides I’ve linked below. You need the zone to be ‘on patrol’ and there should be portal in the harbour to take you directly to the zone.
Just a quick clarification. You don’t actually need the zone to be yours (‘on patrol’) in order to kill the rares for the mounts - It still works when the other side controls it.
However the rares will only reset once your side takes control again.
The only caveat to this is that some of the Rares are only available when one side controls it, and get replaced by an NPC which will be friendly to you when the other side does, which means you won’t be able to kill it.
There is no portal then and you have to manually travel to the area via the usual means. It’s a lot easier to keep track of the reset if you go when you have the portals and it’s not full of the opposite faction. At this stage it is probably not as busy but still.
Yeah, the portal is a lot easier. I just figured I’d let OP know in case there was a mount/pet/toy they really wanted which the other side currently control.
