Warlock (Ember Tap) PVP Talent should return

The amount of self healing that All Hybrids bring on top of the amount of survival that ALL Pure have but Warlock is absurd. Bring back Ember Tap where we sacrifice Soul Shards to gain health back.

The funny part is how this can be said in a sarcastic way this expansion while DK’s have been known for being full on livelords in previous expansions.

warlock have chaos bolt, you delete ppl before you need to use HS.

Well, some expansions. They’ve only been “livelords” consistently vs. casters, but not vs. melees. That has depended entirely on which expansion. Now however, they’re extremely squishy as a “pure” DPS as the OP put it. Vs. both casters and melees.

I still got PTSD from Cata and one WoD season with frost DK’s. Then again, i’m massively biased in finding DK’s unfun to play against in general so that doesn’t help.

The only times they’ve been true livelords vs. everything is when they’ve been able to outheal the damage they take. Now however, they’ve turned the extreme on the opposite end and made the selfheal less than some autohits.

They’re the true definition of squishy right now. And the reason they’re squishy vs. casters is because AMS is basically just a slightly stronger rapture PW:S, on a shorter duration as well.

And their sustained is garbage but their burst is seriously overtuned. So they’re one extreme design to the next extreme design all rolled up into one garbage package of ***** designs.

Their burst is the only reason you even see them being played. And ofc heartstop, and grips and the slow, but basically they’re at the bare minimum level of what can be played in rated PvP right now.

dk and locks are to me the 2 dps classes with the most issues though. uh needs buffs, and im so sad for frost dk as a spec, its supposed to be the arthas spec, i mean sure in wc3 cmapaign iirc (didnt play reforged so memories date a bit) u had coil to heal mobs etc but really, the whole arthas theme is based aroudn FROSTmourne, FROSTwyrms and just frost cinematic. feels so bad

and for unholy when i see all those wounds for every classes but unholy the necrotic strike class who has talent to interact with ennemy hots (or used to? idk, no idea right now) that cant even use necro strike competively cuz its so bad it feels so terrible

those 2 classes really need to be looked at

Unh needs a redesign. Apocalypse needs to be permanently removed, it’s a garbage design and has been a garbage design since the start of Legion when it was first introduced as an artifact weapon ability. Summoning pets that can be aoe CCed/kited as the burst is ridiculous. It’s like a BM hunter’s Stampede but without the enrage, it’s just more pets.
And the dot playstyle design since Legion is also garbage, it’s the epitome of unfun. You’re not even doing damage with attacks, you’re just playing around with the debuffs, like you’re an affli lock but with much shorter range, and some micromanagement with the pet (although it dies pretty easily).

Unholy was awesome in MoP. It wasn’t really played in WoD since FDK was better, which led to the redesign of unholy yet again in Legion, and since then it has just been a garbage PvE “watch my DPS meter, bro!”-kind of spec, but without the connection of you hitting hard as a melee anymore.
At least in MoP you still had an ability that dealt real damage but with a heavy rune cost (and back then you still had different presences and different types of runes).

Sure DK is way more squishy than it was in the past but it’s not as bad as some people on the forum here dramatize. Unholy needs some love no doubt but Frost is more than fine to push. Just accept that you are good in 2s like Enha and your brackets are 3s and RBG.

apocalyspe sounds cool to me on a concept and the problem is indeed the cc/los, and i hope they bring something for unholy and demo.

i actually like having the wounds to target and swapping depending on pet proc etc in dungeons for example, i feel it keeps the player on his toes and it felt engaging. i dont play unholy 24/7 but when i do i usually have fun. so my opinion is to be taken with a grain of salt.

and the pet dies fast, well, they all do atm esp on locks but u have instant summoning cast, we have it too with fel dom but its 3 mins.

i get where youre coming from but eveyrthing ure complaining about, demolock got it worse. maybe thats also why im surely biased due to being used to the absolute meme spec

but unholy has so many cc’s it feels really good, i just wish the dmg was there, u feel like a noodle. whenever i read rogue mains saying their class does 0 dmg and is just here to stun (denial 101), i always have an unholy thought

That’s my point. It’s unfun in PvP.

Because it’s designed for long fights without disruptions like you getting stunned several times per minute or the pet dying faster than you can get any use out of it with the build-up.

And apocalypse is antithetical to PvP gameplay design. The only time it has been good in PvP, is when it dealt unhealable damage.

It’s literally just a PvE “DPS METER WOHOO!”-meme spec, where it increases damage by a lot the more targets you can dot.

It doesn’t fit PvP as a design concept. It’s just simply unfun. You’re not even doing big hits yourself, it’s all tied to the damn debuffs you do.

I’d like them to purge this stupid festering wound playstyle and the gcd makes unholy clunky.

I use to main unholy back in cata and i swear it was alot smoother than it is now.
