There’s only one set of heirlooms they can equip; the cloth set.
Pair it with a staff and intellect cloak and you’re set. Just remember they’re a bit costy for a new player so you might not be able to get them all yet, especially upgrading them to their max levels.

You can get a couple then. The vendor for the Alliance Heirlooms is in Ironforge.

If you go to the heirlooms tab on your warlocks collections you will see what’s available for your spec and be able to figure it out.
Edit: don’t forget to go to darkmoon fair and get fishing for (forgotten name of the fish) then buy the treasure map and get 100 prize tokens so you can buy another heirloom there. Can’t remember the prices, been too long since I was at the fair.
No problem. Just be aware that most Heirlooms will have an effective use from level 1-60 only until you upgrade them at the vendor I linked. That page will also show you all the gold prices if you want to quickly check at any time.
Get anything with haste but once you hit 60 they won’t get better stats until you upgrade them.
