So I’m new and i rolled warlock, I specced Demo and i’m wondering is the starter build any good?
Any tips are appreciated!
from what I’ve experienced - the devs get it wrong in all cases xD

Starter builds will get you through the leveling phase no problem. Even though they might not be the absolute best min/max talents, they will get the job done. When you reach the endgame though, starter builds wont do you any favors, and you are better off finding a build guide online, or just experimenting with it yourself.
As you level and learn to know your class better, you might be tempted to stray from the starter build, don’t be afraid to do that, learning by doing is the best way.
Depending on how good you are with it 
Any sort of rainbow build can probably be used in non “tryhard” content. You might as well practice your rotation instead of worrying about the build. Even a mediocre build executed properly will yield better results than a top tier build executed poorly.
it’s a little weird single target IH build, i dunno why they won’t add more cleave for a supposed leveling build.

You can download hekili for better understanding of your priorities, and probably you’ll want to remove it later when you’ll start to grasp on how class works.
Also kalamazi website has guides on all 3 specs.

You are missing the point of builds. You are supposed to have a fun and enjoyable experience, and only you can figure out a build that does that for you. There is no help in a predetermined build if it is that dreadful or boring that you ends up abandoning the character altogether.
