Drainsoul and Drainlife are toothless.
Bringing back Decimating Bolt would be great start.
Shadow, Demon and Chaos our Darkmagic Bolts do not cause terror in battlefield quite the opposite.
Really miss Shard of Annihilation like ability. Quite a set up but hits hard if you manage to prepare and execute it.

We already have enough dmg with good survivability. With that we would be op.
Affliction is all about dots, if you want more direct dmg play destruction. Then you can skill into Shadowburn this is a Finisher.

What I’m looking for is a finisher you could use after complex rotation so the window for “big blast” would not be open all the time.
Sadly you cannot play Destro in arenas and even in BGs you’ll more likely strugle hard. If Destros movement while casting would be improved, yes why not. If able to cast Incinerate while moving could solve a lot.
Shadowburn is a nice concept but it is still quite weak.
And you are right it is not particularly hard to be in top5 damage dealer in bg but being actually able to take out the enemy makes a huge difference.
I agree with Naze, Affliction feels fantastic atm, the last thing i want is affliction to be an off brand burst spec like it was in SL. We already have execute damage on drain soul n its hardly toothless it hits quite hard, especially combined with the dots. My only complaint with affliction atm is that its very GCD starved with a ton of bloat that doesnt feel all that great to press. I think Affliction is pretty much close to perfect to how the spec is suppsoed to be, it could use a few quality of life changes but dont touch anything else or it´ll be crap or op n i want neither.

From older expacs we’ve never really had a finisher though, have we? I mean I think we had Chaos Bolt (if memory serves me) but I was always draining multiple people down and piling on the pressure while trying to CC those juicy healers at the right moment! usually for someone else to step in a finish the job!
If youre talking about destro, then you had shadowburn since vanilla. It was the strongest finisher in the game in mop and wod - instant 40y, very big dmg, no cd, gave you full resource back if you kill with it or target dies in 5 sec. It wasnt rare situation to be top dps on bg and have shadowburn as top dmg ability in details.
drain soul used to do 400% damage in WotLK below 25%, guess thats the closest youll get to a finisher.
Its dmg out of that was much worse than now. It had very slow tick rate and low dmg so 400% were justified.
We had a comlex finisher in Shadowlands. If you managed to have (as a Necrolord with Shard of Annihilation) on target:
You could drop 1-2 instant Shadowbolts each 30-50k dmg on target.
But that needed carefull work and preparation to finish it succesfully. Good opponents managed often to prevent this from happening.

Well, it’s already OP enough tbh with plenty in the toolkit.
Demonology yes, Affliction is the spec who mostly needed finisher and Destruction has been pretty much in the botton of a pile in Dragonflight.
Warlocks don’t need anything, they are broken just enough. Every time they’re in arena, they’re top 1-2 dps.
Ah yeah the classic Aff tops the meters argument. Aff doing 40k across 3 people (if left to free cast) vs DH / Fury doing 30-35k on ST.
Guess which one is better. Dont think too hard on it.
Warlock needs a survivability increase after the next nerf.
Could be done with Soul Strike, increased dmg in targets below 20%.
You guys have enough sustain, cc, mobility already, you don’t need anything else. You deserve to be nerfed.
We already got nerfed and overnerfed. They should revert some of this nerfs. Soul link to 15% reduction. Selfheal increased by 25%. So the nerf actually is not choose to 60% it is only 30%.
And as i said it’s deserved, no need for any buffs

Don’t forget that Dark Pact is effected by dampening. And with the nerf to demonic Embrace it will also be nerfed.
That’s why they need to revert those other nerfs. Not completely but by 25%, they nerfed everythingby 50%. And Soul link to 15%.
