Warlock portal bug?

In 9.0, we could for the first time use the warlock portal to cross gaps and move semi-vertically. Great feature, really added to the experience of playing a warlock.
In 9.1, I’ve noticed that portals cannot be used to reach treasures (unlike in 9.0). The same mechanism that disallows their use in some parts of torghast and raids, prevents us from placing them anywhere in the vicinity of a treasure.
Initially I thought Blizzard decided to disable such skips in order to make treasures as hard to obtain for all classes. But then I noticed that all other such class spells, like Warriors’ leap, all work just like before.

Is this a bug? Otherwise, why is Blizzard so hell-bent in restricting the utility of the warlock toolkit specifically?

Yeah, i was wondering this also. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

My door of shadows doesn’t want to work in many places in Korthia, I presumed it was intentional.

Interesting that DoS doesn’t work as well.
Have an update on the matter. Seems like portal is working today, at least when it comes to the dynamically spawning chests (like the nests on the trees). I could use portal in 3/4 of the treasures I encountered so far today.
Notably, there was an update when I launched wow this morning, presumably the one that introduced this undocumented change.
