is there any counterplay? seems they can do everything wrong and always auto win
many warlocks are backpedalers/clickers even at +2k
i want to learn how to beat them any tips
just like any other caster
if you lose uptime on him, he recovers, and then you have to build your pressure on him all over again when you reconnect
if you maintain uptime, the kill windows appear
if you are keeping uptime, and not getting any kill windows the entire game, then its a damage issue
i very often feel affli is too tanky/healing , but even as feral, i am able to somehow wither them down with constant uptime eventually
Warlocks dont have great mobility so if they werent tanky as hell they would be mince meat for any melee comp. The problem is it feels like they balance it with that in mind. High damage melee comps (if their healer can keep them up so they dont have to fall back and lose pressure) can rail on a lock with almost constant uptime but the problem is outside of those high damage melee comps they feel massively overtuned.
i posted this on my classic char by mistake
i do not play melee classes
Stares in SP
Locks have gate and port, seems pretty good mobility to me.
Add to this how easy they can cc multiple targets at once, and instantly. Add to this the absurd damage all three lock specs can output, Affliction especially is flying under the radar.
Do locks struggle against melee? Well, most ranged do.
Lock tankyness/self heal needs to be tuned SEVERELY down (along with melee oppressiveness). It makes no sense that locks can heal upwards 7-10M (if not more) per shuffle round in some instances, most of it passively without breaking any sweat. Lock self heal puts any real hybrid to shame, and the worst of it all is the fact that it’s completely skilless.
Make dark pact and soul leech share a talent node in which you can only pick up one, or remove soul leech altogether since it’s the most skilless “ability” in the game
Speaking of tankiness…you forgot ret paladin…
I feel they are disturbingly tanky.
yes!!!
agreed
My state is not about WL but wow PvP general, it feels like outside from cds and burst goes your damage is ZERO a view hots or passive heals negate your rotational damage
Healer have it way too easy too heal damage outside from cds
If it 2s or 3s or soloq you need high dampening if people know how too trade defensive cds too kill
Rbg with no damp its a miracle if something dies if healer have mana
I find it bad design and boring, lets see if TwW makes it better u heard they wont higher health pools and less healing
depends on the class on my feral my general tactic is:
They pop defensives → i clone → switch to another target, the other target pops → clone-> switch back to lock → interrupt, clone on healer, stun after → something should give and should die.
“Tankyness” is fine
But if they are made tanky they should have even less mobility.
They are Tanks. even worse when they play with a rdrood
u have to go on him, to prevent him from spaming unhealable dmg, dont feed him precogs, dont get faked, kick him as much as possible, and do a big go on his dps mate or Healer, and cc the warlock while u go on the other dps
against Rogue Warlock, the Rogue will die before the warlock if u do good swaps
against shadow lock, rdrood, the rdrood or sp will die before the warlock
(depends on the comp)
Some comps go full warlock, have hope they will win the Healer/dps race
it´s just who does 99 Parses in warcraft m+ logs
