I decided that I will main a lock in Shadowlands. Since I returned in Legion, I always mained a BE DH, but had a Velf lock in BFA as a “main alt”.
I just got a bit tired of the elf look, and would like to re-roll to a fresh new race in SL. I am thinking about 2 races in particular: Worgen and Undead. I think both of the races will have awesome customization options in the coming Xpac.
So my question is, which race would you choose for a Warlock, and why? Not really interested in racials, more like in class fantasy and lorewise which would be the better choice?
Worgen is a great race by all means, but I feel like Undead are the coolest robe race. Sure Worgen have nice animations but I think Undead have them better. Being puppy is cool, no doubt but personally I feel like nobody beats Undead as caster (hencewhy my mage main and my other casters are undead) are Undead. This is very much subjective but hard for me to say.
I really like them both, they have hunched backs which I like too but I feel like Undead have more caster-y build.
Yeah kind of feel the same about this. The class fantasy is matching with the Undead, on the other hand, Worgens look really weird in Cloth imo. I mean, I know there are Worgen Battle-Mages, and they are basically humans, who had a certain life before the curse which they would like to keep, but still it is a bit silly to think of Worgen wearing cloth armor. Also UD casting is really cool indeed.
One thing bad about undeads is that hoods and stuff like that look insanely bad on them. But yes especially warlock is nice as an undead. I agree on that, just wanted to mention the hood thing…
I like Worgen on immobile classes, because at least you have access to a speed buff, and they do look pretty cool. Not sure about warlock, but they have some sick animations on DK where they spin in the air when death striking, and on rogues when you attack out of stealth.

There something badass in a sneaky, evil bastard grinning werewolf who silently throw curses that criples the opponent, like some Dark Jedi, smug Palpatine stlye
The howling walking destruction by felfire that shakes and breaks the ground and the sky also have a nice vibe
And as a Demonology lock, be the “Alpha” of your Demon “pack”… is kinda fitting
While the undead are cool and all, its a bit like the Human Paladin… everything fine, but seen it a thousand times
