if you guys are such top dogs, how come you frequently get outperformed dps-wise by enh/ele shamans, warriors, shadow priests and even prot paladins?
just admit it, warlock is a FOTM class.
your class is the class people pick when they want their class to carry them through the content.
your class is the class people pick when they want to pretend they have skill, rather than their class compensating for the very lack thereof, much like DPS warrior players in vanilla.
so many of you warlock players absolutely suck at the game, considering the potential you have to easily outperform any and all other classes, which proves my point.
if you ever get outdps’d by anything other than a mage or a hunter, you should hang your head in shame.
So that they would have mana to heal you taping yourself to 1hp?
I’d say Innervating 2 arcrane mages is less stressful for a healers than watching 4-5 kamikaze tap into oneshot territory before unavoidable raid damage because “If we do not Tap during transition phase we loose dps” We lost several locks on Al’ar that way yesterday.
I can see why you don’t like PVE. In an environment where you have to cooperate with the other members of your team you want to compete against your own team which, BTW, is the worst possible attitude you can have in that environment.
Since you believe you carry everybody else why don’t you form a raid with 24 other warlocks then? It should be a walk in the park, shouldn’t it? You wouldn’t have to “carry” the tanks who take the punishment so that you can survive, nor the healers who heal you over and over so you can have infinite mana, nor the other DPS who give you lots of buffs for you to raise the only stupid number you can see within the whole thing.
Go ahead and don’t forget to tell us how you did xD.
Warriors destroy warlocks 1v1 in pvp. In pve, if you have the perfect raid comp, warlocks also lose to arcane mages in most bosses. That doesn’t mean they are not top3 dps class ofc.
i guess you need glasses. i’ll be the first to admit my dps could be better, but it just so happens that my gear is starting to degrade in performance as i just transfered from Gandling to Firemaw after a long period of no successful raids due to a lack of players.
in other words; i’ve fallen behind the curve, i’m still decked out in phase 1 gear while most other people are deckout out partially in phase 2 stuff. my trinkets are garbage as well.
now imagine if i had proper gear, right? but even in my meh gear i can still compete with warlocks, hunters and mages in fights that doesn’t revolve around AOE; aka boss fights.
I can still as a frostmage outperform everyone except 2 of our locks most of the time, the 3rd lock with his exotic spec who thinks he’s so great is poo, he’s prolly having nightmares of me outdpssing him on every single boss.
The odd times our enhancement shamans don’t die because of over-aggroing, they do outdps me but not the 2 locks we have who are really great.
Even the 2 BM hunters, the 1 survival and the arcane mage we have can’t outperform those 2 good locks we have but sometimes they can do that to me.
Not sure what your class is, but nothing should be able to compete with the op 3 class on single target, and overall raid dmg nothing should ever compete with warlocks, mages come closest but lock should always win.
I just find it interesting because Warrior was BIS class in Classic - and you saw speedrunning guilds bring 18-22. It strikes me strange no one does the same in TBC. I guess you find yourself needing more features (i.e. CC on trash, slows on certain bosses etc) so it starts to become difficult pushing much beyond 4.
