Currently there are people who intentionally bugout certain higher priced materials on the auction house by posting 1 item of that material on a relatively low price and then making it not buyable (item not found). However it also won’t disappear.
So now there are a ton of people who use the auto price system to that undercut the lowest current price when they post their gathered stuff. Now it all gets posted to that low price because the single item wont get removed from the auction house as it is in some kind of loop (bugged). All items posted on that price get sniped INSTANTLY, it is pretty obvious what is going on.
I saw this several times now in the last days with different higher demand / priced materials with a suspiciously low price set that cannot be cancelled along with the instant sniping that most likely is done by an addon. This pattern makes me to believe it is done intentionally by players who know how to create this bug and abusing it, therefore scamming a ton of players out of their gold/materials on top of bugging the auction house out. The bug resolves itself after maybe 30 min, maybe more, maybe less I haven’t encountered one from the beginning.
Hopefully this will get fixed asap and the responsible people will get their gold removed and account suspended.
So be aware when you post your materials you may have already been scammed.

It’s not a scam it’s been like this since vanilla
that’s not a bug op just how the free market works also if you automate your trading this is what happens
lazyness is profited on
Artificially deflating the price of certain things aint something new.
Not in WoWs economy and certainly not in real finance neither.

You two don’t understand what I said, maybe reread before posting. They bug out a 1 stack material on a much lower price in a way that it cannot be bought out thus creating an artifical sell barrier that wouldn’t exist in a normal market. They abuse this to snipe people who don’t check for this and profit bigtime off of it. It also bugs the buying process in general.
YOU or anybody else except the abuser and people who are on a similar level, will profit off of it, since you can only buy the higher priced items that are not bugged. The ones that get posted on that artifical price gets sniped by said bug abuser and resells it at the higher normal price for normal people like YOU.
Its an old trick wich has been around for ever. Its just very visible when all people doing that are now manipulating the same market instead of just one of a single server
like i said they are profiting from lazyness of the buyer/seller just how it works in a free market
don’t use addons to trade next time

Whether it’s been like that since Vanilla or not, it IS unambiguously a scam.
Merriam-Webster’s definition of a “scam” is: a fraudulent or deceptive act or operation
And this is a deceptive act, trying to deceive those who don’t pay attention, making them think (or unconsciously click) that the price they see and what gets auto-filled is the literal market price.

The function to undercut is a built in from blizzard … and it makes sense since materials are region wide. A free market does not have an artificial barrier that cannot be removed lurking in people who think everything works as expected. Its not THAT hard to understand …
Edit: Also YOU the common users the AH are not profitting of this as the “scammer/abuser” snipes all materials that get posted at this price until the bug gets removed after a certain time. The only thing you get from this is potentially being scammed and the person being able to craft items at a much lower price as his materials are now cheap as hell. Thus removing any potential profit from you as he can undercut you way harder now.

u joke this isnt tsm its wow armory modded app by hackers abusing the UI/API
This happens to anybody not paying attention, has nothing to do with automation or addons. With TSM you can build in formula’s to even prevent things like this from happening in the first place, so your assumption that the fault lies with addons is wrong.
Wrongful use of these addons CAN make this happen, yes.
I get what OP is saying, I needed 1 of a certain item and it gave the error that the auction wasn’t there any more, but it remained there visible on the AH for like 10 minutes, probably has to do with the heavy load currently on AH that it’s lagging out.
It’s the same trick but combined with lag it works longer than intended.
Yep, there are literally people snipping all the crafting goods at the busy time of the day.
I have been watching some really low prices on really expensive things.
The problem is, it doesn’t just ruin the experience for the play who is trying to sell. It completely slows down the Auction House and makes buying items near impossible. It’s ruining everyones experience.

ah is lagging and what ever and certain players abust that big time. A player that over half a year ago used dubious means to be able to bait and instantly snipe … dont even tell me tsm can do that in that speed … is back since a little while and the same crap he did last time happens now. he is on another char but there are ways to know who the alts are
try not to fall for that baiter, i cant name him here but just watch what you post, at times you list it at the right price (you think) but in the split second you put it in and press post… he already baited again. so be careful lads and lasses
I’m guessing this is how I unintentionally bought 150 of the same enchant when it wouldn’t let me buy 1.
No, you marked several rows. Always keep eye on quantity!
people asking to ban TSM since forever, yet nothing done thanks to blizzard.
It’s not a TSM ban that’s needed. TSM has some incredibly useful tools for AH and Professions.
But there are some tools built into TSM which are bad. Such as Sniping. It’s tools like that which are abused by players and end up causing this insane AH lag.
So rather than outright banning a really useful Addon, certain processes it can do certainly need looking at.
The addon is useful I agree, but in the wrong hands it’s creating a lot of problems, laggy AH and price inflation and instant price sniping for those who created things by mistake, but yea can’t deny it’s benefits either.
