Warning for toxic chat when chat is turned off

I have my chat turned off and almost only play battleground blitz. Just got a warning that on top of my screen for toxic chat. Please Blizzard fix your game how can I possibly receive this warning because again. MY-CHAT-IS-TURNED-OFF :slight_smile:

the behaviour notification goes off based on number of reports
not what you say
saying something bad just increasce the odds, saying it in public channells increasce it further

but this has happened for ages, even on league of legend
Dyrus a LCS proplayer had chat turned off and was notified on stream with thousand of people about disrupting chat behaviour because he did not communicate with his PUG team and they must have reported him

enough reports gets the warnings, and im assuming more can get a ban
acting bads just increasce the odds of this happening.

Something similar happened to me and the forumer Andies tried to gasslight me that im being toxic and theres no other way this can happen because it doesnt happen to them when they sit afk infront of the AH in SW.

You play pvp > you get reported for being better than people > you get suspended for being a G
They really should start banning for false reports.

That’s right you can get banned for not even doing anything people will just report you and even without evidence if you get enough reports it’s bye bye broski

Blizzard should make it so that if someones chat is turned off you cannot report them for toxic chat. Everyone knows the quickest way to get someone banned is reporting for toxic chat.
I do not care that it has been happening for ages and happened ones to a league player that I do not know. What kind of argument is that honestly. It was always bad so it cannot be changed? It is ridiculous that you can get warnings for toxic chat when you have the chat turned off.
It is an easy fix/improvement blizzard can implement.

already is the case. target someone and try to report them - your options are ‘inappropriate name’ , ‘cheating’ , ‘gameplay sabotage.’

now right click a booster in trade chat and try to report them. ‘inappropriate communication’ , ‘inappropriate name.’

how are they reporting you if not by right clicking you in chat?
