This is the 3rd time this has happened… I challenge Blizzard to find any abusive language… ever… I play tank as main, I know that pugs don’t always go as well as expected… Each time I’ve been reported, the previous day I had a pug go wrong, it happens… ppl leave etc…
So here’s my question… if this is all “automated”… am I now at risk of losing game time (temp ban or something) until the complaints are reviewed by a human… just because some ppl can’t accept that when running Mythics 10s or above, it’s not always possible to time them due to a pug comp, player skill level etc…
Is this a fair system where players can report other players for something which is clearly not true without consequence for those that report this? How long do I have these fabricated “black marks” agains me?
If you meant those little warning popups you see ingame, this is not a written “black mark” or Blizzard account action and has no consequences.
It is possible you may get “squelched” if you get reported a lot. I meant, like a real lot, like if you were a goldseller spamming ads type lot. Upon which a GM will review and either apply an actual penalty or overturn it.
This only applies a temp silence - you can still play the game.
Only the squelch is. An actual penalty isn’t and can be appealed against if you do.
Generally not. If you’ve never been penalised before an official action will be for social area infractions: One Week silence (can still play the game) you will receive an email and a link to appeal should it happen.
I get it all the time too the warning popups because I’m the Blizzard MVP despite not saying anything and nothing happens to me either. Quite some hateful messages too ingame.
I agree, but Blizzard says its ok to “good-faith” report. The only thing that is disallowed is “brigading” - if you have proof I recommend reporting that and Blizzard will visit them for an increased penalty instead.
They’ve been quite helpful and I’m less worried now.
