Warrior 1v1 against all class

Small review of warrior(fury obviously lol) in 1v1 situation against every class.

Warrior vs warrior
Pinnacle of humanity right there interesting fight the most skilled player will obviously win there.

Warrior vs hunter
You bully mm hunter and bm hunter but survival is actually an interesting fight if he is dumb enough to let you regen on his pet while you hide, otherwise A good sv hunter cant loose to a warrior(or any melee spec).

Warrior vs shadow priest
You bully him, even more If you are a dwarf.

Warrior vs mage
You have to use every brain cells you have to avoid the polymorph. Once he gets to poly you, you lost but overall still a winnable matchup.

Warrior vs monk
Winnable if you pay attention to the karma but you will have a very bad time overall with his disarm, his first of parry, his 5 sec stun and his hiding behind walls gameplay.

Warrior vs demon hunter
He is you but better.

Warrior vs paladin
You lost when you decided to play warrior.

Warrior vs assassination rogue
If you somehow survive the opener you will win but since he can evasion and negate your enrage regen its pretty rough id say. (The main reason why im happy to be able to shield block in sl)

Warrior vs shaman
Surprisingly not as easy as i tought elem is tankier than i tought and deal very good damages but still winnable. Same for enhance.

Warrior vs warlock
Normaly you counter warlock hard but right now once he realizes you dont have anything to stop his cast he will cast 3-4 chaos bolt in 2secs right in front of you and you are dead.
Still winnable if he is bad of course.

Warrior vs drood
Ive never won against a moonkin dude is just spamming me with dots and running around and here i am waiting for death, maybe im just bad against them.
Feral is a very hard matchup but still winnable.

Warrior vs dk
Frost. He is you but worst. You just kill him.
Unholy. Very very interesting matchup you have to disarm his burst otherwise you get obliterated, you just have to out sustain him even though they have great sustain, you can hide behind something to regen of his pet to do that.

There it is, would like to know if you guys have anything to add or feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Your analysis has one major flaw. All the classes that you mention can choose to blow their cooldowns while Warriors have few to none. This will make their burst vastly superior to yours and then you’ve lost, even as Fury. Remember that CSHB is going away is Sl and then Fury will be back to subpar self-healing.

At least it’s a little better in SL where DW is a side dish instead of the main meal and the MS debuff lasts 10 seconds as well as does the bleed, which at least makes it impossible for Rogues to Blind and Restealth if they do it right after application.

I would still rather have a six-second duration and:

  • Vanguard (Passive) Grants the Arms Warrior X% Leech.
as that would artificially enlarge our health pools to the same level of everyone else.

Just give the talent indomitable to arms warrior and its done.

No, as then Idomitable becomes mandatory or will most likely replace Second Wind and compete with Defensive Stance.

Major QoL effects should never ever under any circumstance be a talent. That’s incredibly bad design.

if you want to win duels play rogue bro

If you want to enjoy 1v1s or wpvp play monk or rouge, i think they are the best for that.

Didnt think about that like that.
Make defensive stance baseline, rework second wind to be mop like and put the new indomitable in the row.
I see where you are coming from with the mandatory choice but at this point I just would like my spec to be playable.

What is CDHB

Are you “well, acshually” in real life as well?

If you have problems against Mages in Shadowlands with that triple Legendary Leap you are bad Warrior. Ever heard about keeping Mage snared all the time?

That sentence makes me feel that you’ve no idea how insane Frost Mages are when it comes to snares, movement, and counter-movement abilities.

Shimmer (talent): two Blinks
Frost Orb with talent: roots
Frost Nova: Roots
Cold Snap: Can get another Frost Nova
Most Frost spells: 20% snare.

That’s before Legendaries and as we have no full view of them. So that’s 5 Roots (I know DR and all that) that are possible to get base-line. Yeah, Leaper is a terrible problem before it’s even in the game /s

I do not care about Frost Mages. I play 100% Fire. And we will be in deep trouble if we cant kite properly.

Ypu do know that the Leaper example was both wrong and requires the Warrior to be Fury, which disregeards every other Warrior spec out there. So I could easily turn you own words back against you.

No you cant because 3 extra leaps in any Warrior spec with Bounding Stride is opaf. Fury’s Barbarian just makes it extra broken. Comparabale to MoP Rogues Burst Of Speed. Disgusting.

Bounding Stride only lowers the CD and gives you a speed boost for a couple of seconds after using it. It would be nice if it also gave you more charges.

Barbarian allows for a second use IF you use it after 3-4 seconds after landing.

Your charge count is off. With Leaper it’s 3 charges with an extra conditional one.

Yes with Leaper its still 3 Leaps with 70% speed boost as Arms Or Prot. You are the one who is not reading previous posts. That is still broken OP. Prot takes the flag and leaps 3 times across the WSG grassland in10 seconds.

Your Arms example would never happen. Taking the talent Defensive Stance is way too important to taking Bounding Stride and your Prot example, how come you have an issue with that in specific instead the underlying mechanic that allows abilities to be used while holding the flag.

I see no difference in that example than a Mage Shimmering with the flag, Vengeance Demonic Leap twice with the flag, a Rogue using Sprint while holding the flag, a Druid using Dash while holding the flag, and Shamans going into Ghost Wolf while holding the flag. There are plenty of flag carriers that can use various movement abilities while holding the flag. Yet the problem is uniquely Prot Warriors in the hypothetical example instead of the issues that are in the game now that affect FC outcomes.

Since you’re zooming in specifically on this hypothetical issue instead of the issues that actually exist now and affect the game is fear bias. It’s literally fear bias.
