Hello, Hunter has 5 defensive buttons and warrior only has 1 every 1.5 min, i feel very fragile for a warrior… coming back from MoP classic warrior was so much more fun to play there.
You guys are supposed to evolve the classes not burry them.
Our dmg is mediocore we have to be always in melee range to upkeep that dmg and our defense is one of the worst if not the worse in the game.
I dont see both arms and fury get along in BG’s without a pocket healer on their back 24/7.
You removed Bloodrage and i am getting kited to death easily…
This is just wrong.
Warrior should be tanky and mobile and not more fragile than a mage.
Finally for the love of God please stop wiping our progress every 6 months both in classic and in retail.
Stop shutting down servers of previous expansions when you launch a new one…
You relaunch classic 100 times and make ppl start from scratch again.
You make ppl sick and tired of your game, please stop that!

Since for PvP you only mention BGs, that’s nothing new. In random BGs, arms warrior has always been the class that dies a lot. If you don’t like it maybe play a different class, one that has more self sustain (ret paladin), can disengage better (havoc DH), has stealth (rogue etc.), or is a range dps.

yes thats what i am talking about why nerf it to the ground and not have a nice balanced game, boomkins that can actually 1 shot you has bear form, barkskin and survival of a tank and arms warrior has pretty much nothing dies like a paper the same goes for fury.
I dont feel like playing another class i like to play the warrior and be competitive not a target dummy, maybe i will look else where to have some fun since blizzard doesn’t listen.

The biggest cr@p for me is the trailblazer ability.
30% speed if hunter don’t attack in next 3 seconds. On my ret is ok since my dumb class was turned into range but on rogue or warrior is a big dumb move. Now with MM mastery you can have 50 yards range on attack.

My first impression for this season in regards of PvP combat ,is that warrior feels more squishy than the previous season. I have tried colossus for the extra 5% reduced dmg taken and better ingore pain but still they haven’t any meaningful impact on the durability of the class.
Speaking of the defensive capabilities of the class we don’t excel anywhere comparing with other plate dps classes or even melee generally .
Dks are strong versus magic dmg with a fair amount of self healing and even a PvP talent that helps them mitigate physical dmg. Additionally they receive less dmg while low on hp.
Paladins have multiple strong personal defensives ,burst heals and a passive dmg mitigation aura.
I don’t complain for fellow plate users. It’s quite healthy for the game each bruiser/juggernaut archetype to be good at something regarding in their defensive capabilities. They seem to have an identity .
As for warriors we don’t have something special that helps us survive some kind of dmg.
For arms we have one personal defensive which is kinda excels in niche situations as parrying melee attacks, as for fury’s personal defensive has impact only when it has uptime. Else both cooldowns are just a 30% wall while maybe crawling in defensive stance and hoping for external heals.
Having played the class in high rating and mmr at blitz, I have noticed that nearly all of the classes had an emergency panic cooldown to help them stay in fight and recover while warrior had none. Additionally our class only shines when paired with healer who babysits us . Other classes enjoy better uptime better sustain without always the need of a healer. Sadly warrior is the only class that couldn’t defend a base effectively cause our kit cannot hold even one enemy player for few seconds untill team rotates.
Additionally our self heals have been nerfed in this expansion, pain and gain talent started in DF from 4,5% hp heal and ended in 2.0% hp. Impending victory got a PvP modifier of 33% less heal in PvP combat while it’s already affected by dampening, meaning it becomes a waste of global in even medium dampening where generally in high dampening we used to thrive for fair sustain additionally.
The history of warrior being a squishy DPS generally not only in PvP combat is rooted to Legion class design when half of our kit got pruned . Our defensive tools where the usage of protection abilities including a cooldown of Shield Wall. This gameplay required good usage of abilities and very deep class knowledge which personally I advocate. Can we bring this game play back? In an ideal scenario the answer is yes. However game is designed for all kinds of a players , so a newcomer and casual player can enjoy the game. So what’s a solution then? Either a complete class overhaul on class talent tree which partially will focus on self heals mitigation along with with damage , mobility and utility of the class.
What direction I would give is self healing through rage spent, either a talent which will strengthen our self healing being a choice node with more effective heals and shields by other players .Wrath of the Lich King version of Second Wind could definitely help the class surviving in clutch moments while maintaining the effect of generating 1%hp while being below 35%hp .Just a reminder or Wotlk’s version of Second Wind was " Whenever you are stunned or rooted you generate 10%hp and 10 rage over 10 seconds". After the introduction of Recuperate ability for all classes current second wind has no place. Solo content can be done with recuperate and not with current version of Second wind . As for PvE it had never been noticed a healer won’t heal a warrior because of Second wind. As for PvP , constantly receiving damage making half of the talent pretty much useless in most scenarios.Making ingore pain baseline for all specs, for arms and protection work as live and for fury being on 11 sec cooldown with no spending or gaining rage but absorbing fairly less for compensation. Another idea is gain a reduction on CC duration while Ignore pain is active .
Last but not least warrior should excel in mitigating physical dmg . Some will argue and say " yy bro mm is cranking right now that’s why you tell it " or " learn to play issue vs ww , rogue , hunter, ferals and other warriors " . No, except from caster lobbies and mage generally which make my gaming experience unfun , I have no problem defending myself versus above specs or simply outplaying them. I call for stronger physical dmg reduction as a being the highlight of the class defensive capability. My idea would be making Reinforced Plates get a PvP modifier that would uplift the penalty of
Plate Armour in PvP combat. A friendly reminder is Plate Armour is 30% less effective in PvP combat. So a modified version of Reinforced Plates is to give 40% armour in PvP instead of 10% . Else solution is to grant 15%~20% additional physical dmg mitigation, maybe less for protection as it gains armour through Vanguard passives.
To conclude , warrior in PvP is a squishy class and needs stronger self heals and mitigations. Warrior is supposed to be a bruiser class meaning it can stand in the front line for long enough to apply pressure on the enemy team without needing the constant babysitting of a healer. Warrior was supposed to be the mobile juggernaut of the game . Modern warrior is nowhere near that.

I gave up serious pvp in battle for azeroth and only dip my toes in it every now and then when / if there is a cool set to farm.
But sens then the situation has not changed.
A - Warriors are useless without a healer behind them, in many 1 vs 1 scenarios we are not even a threat.
B - it feels like every other class has been given way to many esacpe tools and self heals and above all MELEE IMUNITY whiles warriors have next to none.
C - the few defence and self heals we have has a very obvious weakness, we have to hit our targets to get that heal, something that many classes really just… dont let us do, and don’t even get me started on die by the sword, wow i parry allot? awesome… oh… i can still be stunned and … hit from behind, and it dose nothing against range like hunters… yey
In the past we used to have our HP and thats what balanced it out against other classes beacuse they had to put more effort in to getting past not only the armor but also the Hp
Now days we don’t even have that, lets face it, everyone has the same hp, armor means nothing.

Warrior is generally the easiest class to kill in pvp. Most classes, if not all, have better and shorter defensive cds.

Agree. Warrior used to be more tanky in PvP. I don’t like playing Warrior in arena becouse it is just smashing dmg buttons and having hope your healer will keep you alive.
My Mage or Paladin are much more fun to play solo shuffle.

its not only defense that is low the class is pure garbage, it has no utility and its dmg is low as well. Blizzard really tries to kill its game by reducing fun factor and balance for some classes.

You got Die by the Sword, Ignore Pain, Spell Reflect, Bitter Immunity, Rallying Cry and Defensive Stance.
Warrior has needed a pocket healer since vanilla.
That’s how melee works.
You have slows. Hamstring, Piercing Howl. You also have mobility. Heroic Leap and Charge, both on short cooldowns.
You are, if you use your defences at the right time.
This kind of bs can only come from a hunter. Haha.
