I have both at 16 but only have time for one
I like both equally … same with casters and melee dps … like them both
Which one would you pick and why ? I wont be tanking raids … maybe dungeons. Same with the mage i wont heal raids but dungeons maybe
Warrior is great for DPS, mediocre for everything else. Mage is good for DPS and absolutely great at outdoor content and solo grinding.
It’s Classic so everybody and their grandmother has a warrior. You’ll probably have less competition for group spots and loot as a mage. But it’s also SoD, levelling is easy so why not just have both?

Both classes are day and night man…
If you enjoy pvp - play mage. Warrior is fun in pvp as well, BUT it requires support, which means that just going outside to do world pvp alone wouldn’t feel as good as doing it on mage.
If you want to play only in raids and dungeons - go warrior. Warriors are the kings of dps in classic, in classic season of mastery, and in this season as well. Even if they wont be the best dps (for some unknown reason) at lvl 60, they for sure will be one of the best. If you playthrough all the phases the gearing will be way easier than mage as well, because you won’t have many people contesting your plate gear, and you will be in a good demand because of your damage.
If you want to play a bit of all the classic content you could, then mage will probably the better option overall. They are better at pvp, they definitely don’t suck at dps in raids (not warrior level DPS, but still decent), and they are way better at solo content (you can farm gold, solo dungeons, faster leveling, travel faster etc.).
Also keep in mind (as I said for pvp) warrior also does require support to be able to shine in pve. You need that WF, you need kings etc. While if playing a mage, you could do well enough without any buffs.

in 2 weeks its godmode in pvp and pve, and beats the game. hybrid class to boot. devs will prod give u raging health as a big crit heal with a tick soon, since so many warrior players think its too hard to play.
Pve= warrior unless you like healing
Pvp= mage
Solo world play = mage

Good point, but I’d still go Mage due to versatility and farming potential. Best way to succeed as a warrior is to have a mage character funneling you.

the fastest way to level a warrior, is to level a mage, and farm gold on your mage to then boost your warrior.

That works! 
Mage or Rogue, both are the best for PvE / PvP.
Unless you are willing to tank. My warrior can get into any group she wants, usually in a few minutes in the lowest pop realm.
if u got time to ply one chracter, then u will have time to do alt. remember u need to pick ur main not both ,i will pick warrior as my main and mage will go the mining,gar,farming,pvp if u got bored. MMO games will take a while to ply,so no rush right.
