Hi guys,
I just started playing again the other week and after looking around and getting to grips with what I had missed I decided on a few new classes to play.
Now, my main question is do racials matter a great deal, as I see some use for my other picks but for a Warrior. I like the look of Mag’har orc’s as but there racials don’t really seem… great at least for a warrior. Is this an issue? Would I be better off with a Normal Orc or a Zandalari or Tauren or something?

Welcome back to the game 
The short answer is: no, they don’t matter, racials are cosmetic & there for flavour.
Racial abilities might matter for min-maxing at an extremely competitive level of mythic raiding/pvp (world-first etc.), where decimals of percentagess could potentially make a difference. For the vast majority of players, that’s not something to worry about though.
Also keep in mind, that the game is constantly undergoing balancing and re-balancing, so one race might be “the best” for a class during a given patch, and then lose that title with the following patch.
So, to answer your quest: the best warrior class for you is Mag’har Orc. Why? Because you like the look of them! You will probably be spending at least a few hours (probably many more) playing as that race, so picking something that “clicks” with you is worth much more than some slivers of a percentage increase that may or may not be happening in a future patch.
