Hi, i have never tanked in TBC and have only ever tanked in Classic as a warrior.
Will the tanking style in classic (DW dps driven tanking) be the same in TBC ? or is TBC more classic protection spec sword and sheild tanking ?

In TBC the deep prot talents are really, really strong and Shield Slam is a big threat burst. More importantly perhaps, in TBC you will already be nearly dying a lot with a Shield equipped, with some abilities outright needing block or you’re going to die.
So dual wield tanking isn’t a thing in TBC, the modern trend is to just focus stats that give threat + survival like Expertise, Agility and Block Value, while otherwise stacking stamina and gearing for effective health. In TBC days effective health was king, but the modern “private server” trend is more aimed towards threat generation to allow for higher dps (which kinda was already a thing in Sunwell, but majority of players didn’t even kill a trash mob in Sunwell).
As Zumbakumbo explained, deep prot is the preferred spec. There are some talent variations depending on if you want more mitigation or threat.
Things hit really hard in TBC compared to vanilla.
I maintanked raids during TBC
Having high stamina is nothing if you dont have enough avoidance :
and you needed enough hit + expertise to keep able to hit to keep agro
The only weird thing I remember is that you could supplement your PVE defence gear with PVP resilience to reach uncrittable status.
