Wanted to share a little frustration on my warrior.
So here i was in wsg fighting a shaman who had to be a bot cus he was only trying to cast lavaburst on me, and i ran back and forth on a corner losing it. Everytime i went in i hit him for 130 white dmg and maybe a 170 slam if i had rage. While his lightning shield was hitting me for consistant 170 white dmg, his autoattack for like 70, flameshock 190 and then occational chainlightning for 400. I AS A WARRIOR COULD NOT KILL A BOT WHO WAS STANDING AT 1 SPOT TRYING TO LAVABURST ME WHILE DOING DMG TO ME EVERYTIME I CAME NEAR HIM. Fk This retarded game and this balance.
Have you tried Roblox? My 5y old daughter loves it
I know everyone that is not a warrior gonna say its fine ( and ofc shivette) because they enjoy having a free kill.
Im really good geared, i even have the rocketcleaver.
I understand your pain, in hindsight you could have prolly did things different. But the fact is that what seems like a trivial task for some classes is far from trivial for a warrior.
No rage = simply no damage
Mana/energy classes simply have a much higher base DPS and unless oom you can always access this DPS, but warriors simply can’t.
As rogue I feel you, we might have stunlock but can be prevented with potion, we might have a high burst from stealth but with little brain and pvp focused items can be prevented (or reroll to priest with dispersion). After that other classes have us nailed into coffin with their spell damage, since we cannot exit fight with vanish due to DoTs we cannot dispel.
Same with people who don’t play rogues. Priest and mages (important: not undergeared arcane/fire, but pvp geared frost mages) come here to say rogues are OP while in BG they are making hot chops from rogues.
Energy:
- higher initial burst until the energy runs out? Yes.
- Lower hp/armor? Yes.
- 0 spell resist? Yes.
- Can others prevent initial burst and stunlock with potions? Yes.
- Can rogues/feral cats/warriors protect against instant/almost instant spell nukes? No.
I don’t quite understand this point you make, are you calling him a bot for not reacting to your strategy properly? Casting Lava Burst is quite good if you are Resto or Elemental to not get interrupted on Nature and not be able to heal/use most of the totems to kite.
Not all shamans use Maelstrom Weapon to throw instant Lava Bursts. As for your main point about warriors I have a feeling that the rage system that allows warriors to fill their rage bar with a few swings when buffed at the end game, works against them at these lower levels.
Maybe they should add a rune that impacted rage generation,at least for pvp, make it give a lot more rage from damage taken and a higher base amount irrespective of the damage you deal with your auto attacks. Also the penalty for switching stances is kinda drastic for how fast paced SoD is. I think tactical mastery should let you retain at least 50 rage when switching stances and 25 should be baseline.
No i mean he was litteraly a bot. I fought him at wsg roof just at the corner when you enter the roof with some logs and stuff. He was standing still at 1 place trying to cast lavaburst when i ran around the corner losing him when pummel was on cd. I walked out to hit him more and then lightningshield hits and he auto attacks and cast chainlightning(seems like its instant from a proc?) that was enough for him to kill me. Yes i almost killed him, but like i said he was just standing still doing what i said above.
That is plausible, Chain Lightning can be instant thanks to Power Surge(5% chance on a flame shock tick to make your next CL/LB to be instant and resets cooldown if said spells are on cd)
Also Nature Swiftness can make Chain Lightning instant but it is more likely it was Power Surge. It is weird he would use the proc on Chain Lighting instead of Lava Burst.
Runes like Power Surge are no fun overall. Most of the times when it is needed it does little for the Shaman but when it procs back to back and you throw Lava Bursts one after the other… the person on the receiving end will surely remember that, and it kinda feels cheap on the Shaman end, a roll of dice to delete someone.
