Warriors and shields

why run with a warrior at all then? run 4 caster dps and a healer if this is what you think.
as i said before ,i suggest you treat the road to 60 as a way to prep you to 60, i need to practice my tanking, and dps need to learn to manage aggro or level 60 dungeons will be a wipefest.

At higher levels it actually is not at all.
The question is really are you able to do way more than twice the damage as the tank and only take twice as much damage. (this is just thrown out numbers and could be a lot higher or even lower.)
You as the tank has to do a heck of alot more damage then what you would do with a shield simply because you have to be able to balance out not just so you do more damage but so you take overall the same damage as you would with a shield.
And if the healer only has to heal you sometimes the healer could use that mana on doing damage.

Your personal dps is going to be higher but that does not mean the groups damage and time to clear the dungeon is actually faster.

And here is the thing you are using a bug to hold aggro with that.
But why even have a tank at all if you are going to go as a dps.
So actually you are the Pleb. Heck Noob is the correct term for what you are.

This right here shows how much of a noob you are.

It depends, a melee cleave / spell cleave group can use a 2h tank spinny boi, but for normal groups with no huge aoe cleave and such, best to use 1h shield cause the damage is lacking and u need the dmg reduction. etc

^ This! ^ When in a melee cleave we go 3 warriors and two shamans, one with improved WF and one for heals there is no ā€œtankā€. But Optimal everyone got the axe. But in a normal ā€œquest runā€ even if another DPS has the [Ravager] i would not even dream of equipping mine and go full monkey! Thing is with a normal group u dont have enough cleave damage. My friend plays a hunter and i tank dungeons for him with normal groups, when i’m alone i do melee cleaves. I got tons of weps in my bags like 1h sword and shield for tanking, ravager and the WW axe for questing.

A good warrior don’t equip the ravager in a normal quest run group, that’s noob. Use the shield and the 1h, switch to WW axe for non elite packs. But the ravager is only for cleave runs.

Just farmed ZF till lvl50. 3warriors, enh shaman (4ravagers) and a priest. The speed was rediculous. The amount of mobs we pulled too. You’re a pleb if you think you can’t ā€œtankā€ with a 2h.

No thats wrong.
Your Job is to play something that handle dmage better than the rest, and keep the rest from having aggro. But you choose to gimp yourself.
And you speak like a party is your spiteful rivals??? Wtf??

You have no idea what you are talking about! Mark Targets, charge in! Thunderclap than start on your kill Targets! You clearly never played Vanilla. People like you hopefully vanish soon back to retail!

You are the one who clearly have no idea. You must be braindead to use thunderclap to hold aoe aggro. It costs to much rage and the damage is 0.And yes soon i will be back to retail when they push 8.3 cuz everything in classic is just too easy.

You are in no position to call another player ā€œBadā€ if he is doing his role (Healer) while you are not doing yours (Tank)

The damage difference between the Shield and a Two-handed weapon is more than just the lack of armor, you are not capable of blocking either.

But as you said: Plebs will be plebs and that goes right back to you.

I do that AND i put out damage, carrying you plebs even more. If the healer doesnt have sweat on his or her lip you are doing it wrong. Clearly these soft healers dont understand warrior mechanics. Thank God i dont have to run these trash pugs.

No the dmg and defencive stance will keep the threat high. The shout is to decrease incomming dmg noob. They nerfed the shout. Keep talking out your poophole
