Who are the Blacksteel Fangs?
The Blacksteel Fangs are a warband of the Warsong Clan, named after its commander, Khrova Blacksteel. They follow Gorgonna, stepping out of the shadow of shame that was left behind by its former warchief, Garrosh Hellscream. Victory or Death, but no longer at the cost of honor!
What are your goals?
After the events of the lore in the past, which were questionable at best, I think that bringing back the Kosh’harg to Azeroth, revitalizing clan identity and Gorgonna becoming the new chieftain of the Warsong is proof, that Orcish roleplay is ready to make a comeback and abandon the negative stereotypes along with the bad apples it created in the roleplaying community. I’m absolutely convinced that Orcish roleplay has so much more to offer than what the negative stereotypes would let on, especially when it comes to the modern Warsong Clan. I want to provide an inclusive place where roleplayers can explore these aspects of Orcish society and culture. As a warband of a very war centric orc clan, events around war campaigns and training will be the main meat of the guild. We plan on doing events in relation to:
- war campaigns (including the preparation, journeys, training, etc.)
- coming of age trials for younger orcs (Valley of Trials or similar)
- the Om’gora (For clanless orcs who want to become Warsong, or any other orc who chooses to do so, especially younger orcs)
What kinds of character concepts do you look for?
If you read up to this point, it should be a given that the warband is for orcs only.
We do accept clanless orcs, that wish to join the Warsong Clan down the line, as well as those who are already a part of the clan. It doesn’t matter if they’re greenskins or Mag’har (AU + MU).
We are actively looking for:
- Soldiers (warriors, rogues, hunters, mages, shamans, etc. excluding deathknights and warlocks)
- Artisans and
peonsworkers
Any OOC rules?
First of all, we expect maturity from our players, meaning we expect people to express themselves without seeking conflict all the time. Overly negative people, as well as people who can’t properly distinguish between IC and OOC behavior, will not be accepted. At the same time we also expect a certain willingness to be passionate about the characters and the stories we’re creating. I think these two should not be seen as mutually exclusive. You can be mature, and still show emotion.
Furthermore, I want an inclusive guild where people can feel safe to express themselves, so ultimately, in our midst, there is no place for bigots who are upset by pronouns.
We do have a standard when it comes to quality. That means, that we have a red line when it comes to concepts and players that break the lore, are overly powerful or include canon characters in their backstory. I will be more than ready to provide information and help you with your character concepts, if you need a bit of guidance to make it make sense with the timelines.
We do have room for alts that are not affiliated with the guild, but if you want to be a member, your main character should fit the mold.
Who do I contact?
In-game, you can either add me on Khrova, Kadasha or Oshgora, or just send a letter.
This ad can also be found on the server “Horde AD RP Community”, for those who prefer contacting me over Discord.
At this point I want to add that I haven’t lead a guild in quite a while, with little experience as a DM so far, so please indulge me.
If it seems like I might have forgotten something, I probably have. In that case, or if you have any questions, criticisms or suggestions: feel free to contact me!
For the Horde!
