But we have already established the Garrosh mantra, that morality exists only when bad things are happening to YOU, not to others.
Sure. And that’s enough reason for Void elves to hate Lorthemar or Rommath.
Your point being?
Edit: Plenty other races would’ve summarily executed them.
Arcane magic isn’t a threat to anyone, otherwise the Alliance would have put restrictions further or give up on it after Malygos started the Nexus war. The void however is an entropic and destructive force of corruption that even drove titans mad. You should start to question the sanity of Anduin for making that stuff legal.
The void are the forums?
as I said a dis-favorable situation.
Nathanos simply states that Victory is within and that it is not final mind you.
Basically he is asking the Dark Lady for chances of recovery.
Is the Horde currently standing to lose the War?
Yes, no one denies this.
is it absolutely hopeless for them? No.
Didn’t see that one coming gives standing ovations
No we are fire and unending Rage.
Thrall warned everyone about us back in Cata.
When you are in a position that bad it is more than just an “unfavorable situation”, it is basically Germany in late 1944.
They’re still around though. Hard times, but eventually they got back on their feet.
In such a comparison, I don’t think being defeated is as terrible as it is. Nor do I even feel it really demoralizing personally.
What I think Durlan is trying to prove here is that this is far from the end of the Horde even if they do lose and even if the Alliance commits exterminatus.
At least… I think so?
Germany did worse. Yet they came out rather… Smooth. Surprisingly.
Ish, we all know that by the end of it the Horde and Alliance will come out of this war intact as splitting and flat out removing one side is just out of the question. I am more worried about what’ll happen after this faction war, I don’t see how anything will recover.
Depends what side of Germany you were on
Given Dazar’alor was described by devs as a military move that would serve as a Teldrassil equivalent, it’s quite obvious that said situation regarding the war can be reversed and be on the Hordes favour.
Alliance managed to do so.
Not the eastern part for sure. America pumped a ridiculously amount of money into their economy.
Why worry when it will have to be a few sudden miracles that will inevitably be pulled to ‘balance’ things? :s
I’m so afraid of theorizing anything sensible because I know it’s as likely Saurfang can be retconned to have been Hogger all this time because Horde needed some sort of Alliance aggressor that was ‘morally right’ in doing so.
Umbric is a well known Leninist author.

“Letter to comrade Halduron.”
“The Thalassians at work.”
“The Blood War Program.”
“A caricature of Marxism and Thalassian imperialism.”
“First All-Thalassian congress of peasant deputies.”
But Teldrassil wasn’t a decisive military loss unlike Dazar’alor as you hear throughout the war campaign that the only thing what is keeping the Alliance from overwhelming the Horde is their navy, which they have now got theirs back and the Horde has lost theirs. While compare to the WoT and the plan there was to destroy Night Elven hope and create tension within the Alliance which it didn’t really do.
Ye, Marshall plan was pretty nice.
Just worried about the story in general. I don’t know how the various characters, factions and so on will recover once this is all over. Not even the wars against the Legion and Scourge were this brutal and came at this cost of life.
Just how this thread started, people were arguing whether the points what Sylvanas made were right or completely overblown or outright lies. You might as well add this entire war and all the horrors to that list now. At least the last faction war once it started to become evil there was already massive friction and division within the Horde. But the war started out more evil than Garrosh ever war and most races and characters besides Saurfang and perhaps Baine were fine with following Sylvanas.
Just wait. After the war is over, we will stage a socialist revolution in Stormwind and depose Anduin. Then we shall make the Soviet Union of Alliance Republics.
Actually it is basically that the war is yet to be over, Blizzard can throw back and forth as many times they want: This side is losing now.
But until we see the end of this War?
it is not over.
the Night elves made a recovery from the destruction of Teldrassil, why shouldn’t the Horde be able to recover from SoD?
For all we know the real Sylvanas is either kidnapped or dead and the Horde had been taking orders from a disguised Azshara the whole time. At least that would pull logic to Teldrassil burning and Sylvanas suddenly knowing what Xalatath actually is.
