I have been playing mythic dungeons since Dragonflight Season 1, and after the introducing of crests the difficulty has gone way up compared to the early DF days.
I dont know if people were coping, but people talked about season 2 was supposed to be easier than season 1.
The mechanics seems to be way too complicated for the average player. Everyone pulls pats, theres tons of frontals and aoe that people have a hard time getting out of.
And that is just M0 and +2. that was supposed to be easy for even the average person. Reason I can’t get higher is because I play solo and dont really have any mythic buds, but I have been pugging since DF and it has not been near as bad as now.
Keys below (or at) 6 don’t even have fortified/tyrannical at all, yet m6 gives hero loot in S2.
In S1 it was m7 for hero and it had both fortified/tyrannical + the peril affix.
The peril affix was exiled to +12, so it virtually does not exist if you don’t push beyond gearing, making m+ overall a lot better experience than what it was in S1.
Gilded crest drops from m7 already in S2, it was m8 in S1.
Until M4 you don’t even have any affix at all, not even the seasonal. In S1 by M4 you had the seasonal AND Tyrannical/Fortified.
M0 and M+ no longer drops veteran gear, its champion at worst now. In S1 I think even m3 was dropping veteran gear, meaning you had put up with tyrannical/fortified and the timer at least, just for the champion loot.
No matter how I look at it, S2 is vastly superior to S1 in every way when it comes to m+. The lack of that disgrace of an affix called challenger’s peril during gearing, alone had made m+ a way better experience, comparable to how it was before TWW.
I guess it will be a bit less horrible to deal with it, once we have gearing mostly done (apart from the vault camping).
