Watch the Midnight Deep Dive

I had never heard of player housing until a couple of years ago. So I can tell you off the bat why it was never included before.

Because nobody cared.

I’m sure they were, but still when I’ve played back in Legion, the concept still wasn’t what I would have enjoyed.

I don’t like the Horde plot, but I can only use Belf house on Horde plot so undecided what to do atm. The Alliance plot just visually better.

There’s nothing else to say but: You’re wrong. :dracthyr_shrug:

Yeah, I understand. My point was more the size of a neighbourhood.
It’s a zone, basically. Not a small place.

The Game Director himself confirmed that player housing is one of the most requested features back when they first announced it. We really don’t have to go down this road every time that housing comes up. It’s going to be in the game.

So if some don’t like housing they can ignore it. The people that have wanted this forever can enjoy it.

Why it has to sink into this negativity every time is beyond me.

I don’t like the biomes of the Horde. That’s the issue. It’s garrisons all over for me.

I went Alliance for that expansion but fortunately this time I don’t have to.

I think getting to look at it in testing will help no end. Or more info coming out about it.

Both the Deep Dive and the Q&A was very interesting. Looking forward to playing Midnight. I can already see myself spending a lot of my game time with activities connected to player housing. Looking forward to see the alpha build, I expect to get a lot of furniture from reputations and achievements of the past alone. And, then, some more from cooking and fishing.

I also love the idea of new troll customizations, even if I have never had a troll and probably I never will. :green_heart: And, I’m curious about what’s in store for high elves too.

It is beyond mad that all 3 zones where the Horde houses can stand in are Orc themed. No diversity at all. All other races once more ignored.

Well, it IS a suburb of Orgrimmar after all. Granted I’d like to have seen some troll stuff around the tropical island sections but overall it’s not very different from the Alliance counterpart which from the looks of it is 100 % Human.

I for one am pleased with how the Horde neighborhood turned out. I was a little concerned initially given that they’ve been using almost nothing but the Alliance neighborhood in their promo material but the video linked further up the thread kinda dispelled those concerns.

I want it…

it’s the launch you have a decade or two to come.

This is garrisons all over again where the allianceone was decent and the Horde looked like dung.

I dunno I kinda feel like the opposite. The tropical beaches and hot springs look delightful.

you mad about the orc huts for horde players?

It’s called Sales pitch.

There’s blood elf houses too. :dracthyr_shrug:

And more will be added in the future for sure.

We can have fabulous belf house. But the location still puts us in Orc setting ofc.

Yeah see? this is why i said follow the SWTOR model… where you can build your own apartment in your planet of choosing.

In wows case? Your capital city of choosing.

I have to say this presentation made me more psyched for Midnight than the entire coverage of the Gamescom stuff ever did.

Bring it on!

I want my Haranir hunter!
And oh man, I love the look of those druid forms.

harranir Tah confirmed? What will your new forum name be?

While I like the swtor model, this WoW one seems much better.
Yes, you can pick a planet, but you can’t change your stronghold. You can only decorate it. In WoW you can change a lot in both the exterior as well as interior.

Not Tah, that will remain my pandaren (pandaren heritage set YES!!).
I have a few name reservations for my Haranir; I’ll be leveling that character in Remix and race change it once I have them unlocked.

There’s some cool names I have reserved, but I’m not sure I should mention them here. :scream_cat:
