What effort? Flying to and from the city?
As it stands now what effort are you putting in to get these random drop chance items? Instead they just go to waste due to RNG.
Then why put the runes behind different challenges anyway? Why give players something extra to do at all? Why not just have the class trainer give them to you when you reach a certain level?
Why go that far when you know it takes time and effort to gather these boxes for turn ins and the only problem is that you must delay your adventures to turn them in instead of looting them.
Its an amazing rep system, but the unique cripples it.
It doesnât take effort to get the boxes. Theyâre something you get naturally when you level. The effort is you going back to town to turn them in. If you remove that only part which requires you to do something extra, then youâre removing the point of having it at all. When youâre leveling youâre not going out of your way to find boxes, you just find them. Theyâre not quest rewards, theyâre not unique mobs you have to grind, theyâre not gathering nodes, theyâre just loot that you get anyway.
You donât think fulfilling the boxes with supplies is already a large enough effort?
For me to do the one i have now, i need to farm 20 meat and learn cooking and cook it.
You donât have to fill them. Turn them in empty for 100 rep. The only difference would be that itâd take longer. And if theyâre not unique then its even less effort to get the rep done.
Ah okay, so effort = reward is good but effort = reward is pointless, gotcha.
You know what, fine. You win. If you havenât gotten it by now then you never will. At this point you donât have an argument and theres no point in trying to make you see reason.
Excuse my ignorance, i thought your point was that it should take effort, but you suggest to skip the portion of the supplies that take actual effort outside of clicking a flight master (do we really consider flying effort?).
Maybe, sounds like a well designed feature anyway.
I normally take one trip per level to a city.
Being hell bent on xp per hour would make it one trip per two levels, but I also want to empty bags, check professions.
Considering the hearthstone cooldown, the duration it takes to run the city and back (about 15 minutes on average), it can be pretty annoying. Especially if you dedicate about an hour a day anyway, and of course you travel anyway. Some 30m buff expiring while traveling is my everyday classic experience. Train cab rides are equally interesting!
I wouldnât consider playing running simulator effort, especially as itâs just more of the same section.
