Waylaid supplies

what is the point of not being able to have/store multiple waylaids in your inventory? am i missing something. feels stupid having to run back and forth all the time. This is insanely disrupting and annoying lol.

Just to help the designers…
Where exactly do you feel it’s annoying? Dungeons? Barrens?
Would you prefer to hoard them (like archeology boxes in retail), or just need a few more?

In Teldrassil I didn’t feel it much of a problem yet, plus visiting the city rewarded me with the Boon. I can see how it gets progressively annoying as we need to fly more. Or the joys of additional laps around Elwynn Forest, on top of the quests requiring it already.

I just played the Game, did quests, farmed some nodes and filled up my bagspace then returnerd to some capital, unload, repeat.

I had enough rep for my rune when I needed it. I think that’s the design idea. They didn’t want yet another resource to grind endlessly but which flows with the gameplay.

I like that. It doesn’t force me to fight for drops in yet another grind fest somewhere

It prevents me from skinning, it’s annoying.

I don’t want to be forced to delete a box just to skin a mob.

It’s even worse when I have to swap a box which requires bandages for some fringe profession box which costs 5 times the amount to complete.

Except it doesn’t.

I find it annoying to. Most of the quest arent turned in in major cities (where you can hand in the supplies). Its annoying that if you have 1 in your inventory, you cant take another with you. Lets design it that you cant 2 of the same, that i would understand. But 2 diffrent supplies, why so annoying?

You should definitely be able to store multiple of the same item in your bag. This is just poor game design by the devs.

how whiny can you be?
is that how you deal with a challenge? complain about it?
getting reputation with this faction after friendly is 100% optional

I mean its the WOW forum. Nearly every post is about a minor inconvenience that people want to be solved by quality of life changes.

Do this for years and thats exactly how we got to retail.

I don’t see anything wrong with people posting valid feedback.

Who are you? Some forum gatekeeper? Move along, kid.

I wish they’d at least add a supply officer or whatever they’re called in each settlement (Tarren Mill, Crossroads etc).

All I see here are people complaining that they have to do something to get something. Jeez.

Fluff - I had two drops in very quick succession.
So that’s kind of inevitable; also, it might be difficult to know which one to keep - some are really expensive to complete.

It’s a bit of an interesting experiment.
Regardless of fixing the Hearthstone to 15/30 minutes.
I suppose there is a spectrum, some people instantly aborting anything they do to deliver the supplies while others might just mind their own business and handle it as part of their regular city visits.

It also depends on how much you play your character. If you want the rep as soon as possible, it requires instant aborts, but if you just play one or maybe two, it sounds fine to just deliver them whenever, it will be done anyway, even without completing them.

I dont feel like the downsides of the Waylaid Supplies outweigh the good, and well, it’s only phase 1.
I feel like it would be best to be patient and see how it feels during the next phase.

Stop whining about ppl whining please. How whiny can you be?

Let’s make an experiment. Umm, I mean “Let’s make a damn experiment then!!”

Going to change my views and say that the system is a bit stupid as is.
I still see it as an incentive to trade profession items, fluff to visit cities. Good.

The issue is how it demands instant abandoning what you do - you may be screwed very soon if you don’t.

For example, I looted a box for 10 rough stones. Great, 1 silver.
But the very next mob had one for 3 brown linen robes, which is 18 silver.
In order to skin, you must loot, thus you must destroy the old one.
It was a very expensive leather scrap, should just leave it to rot. Lesson learned.

Regarding that 18 silver… market manipulation is going to be a problem moving forward. Raw materials can be cheap, but crafted items will generally be expensive.
Which is also a seller’s problem as nothing will sell anyway.

Given WoW’s limits I don’t know the solution.

  • Obviously, remove the limit and allow carrying multiple. Yes, it becomes a Need item when rolling. (Btw, people don’t need in WLK dungeon finder. They did before.) That said, no need to roll on it anymore, then.
  • Global auction house to know prices. Like in GW2.
  • The supplies opening a returnable portal. Like in D3. Loot, turn in, come back.
