well,
with my main char i found exactly 1 waylaid since im 40, i hunted at least 15+ chests and killed like 150++ mobs at least my level range or higher. im still stuck at friendly and cant edited by moderator find any chests, i just want the alchemy recipe.
im actually wondering if my character is bugged or something.
Thats just atrocious, please let us get rep from a Tabard or anything else or make the droprate somewhat reliable or at least from bosses or something else, but please do something.
After like 20 Gnomers and all that, i should be able to at least be able to reach reveared.
i just realized i cant even buy the TRINKETS FOR THE RUNES OR WHATEVER THEY ARE FOR!!!

I found the P1 system where waylaid supplies had a much higher drop chance from chests you can find around the world worked very well. It actually gave an incentive to go into the world and to clear mobs to loot said chests.
Now? I looted chests in Alterac for a couple of hours, clearing the mobs around them as well, and I got nothing. What a pointless change. You probably need to play a mage right now and clear entire camps to get anywhere.

Yeah, true. a higher drop rate but less reputation is the way to go. at least i could farm it somewhat reliable. its not a work in progress, its just RNG which is bad.
I had the same issue!!
I finally managed to hit Revered. However, the grind to get there was unbearable.
Please add an alternative to gaining rep in P3

I managed to get 2 within half hour doing a couple skullsplitter troll quests for tomorrow

Even if it is just poor rng, which totally could be. there should be nothing “essential” like the trinkets or an recipe behind stupid rng. at least give a reliable source. just higher drop rate and less rep would be fine. i put over 4 hours, especially to farm waylaids, but ive got nothing.
Revert the changes to open world chests. Make them drop reliably waylaid supplies, these encouraged people to go out into the world rather than stand in Orgrimmar/Ironforge and raid log or bg queue.
Everything about the system during P1 was good and healthy for the game, revert to that asap.

I’ve been farming the last few days preparing for p3 and did quite a few quests, solo dungeon runs and mob-farm and I haven’t seen a single supply drop. I thought I was just unlucky but reading you the drop rate seem to have been somehow lowered.
I wanted to hit revered for the bag but cannot even reach honored yet. And I’ve been farming a decent number of hours per day.

I totally agree, idk what their intention was.
i just found a random T1 Waylaid which didnt even gave me any REP. i believe those are just fine, but for the higher levels it is just not in good/fair spot.
hopefully this post gets some attention and we are finally able to progress through this rng rep farm.
sometimes i think, maybe i should go out and try again and when i do it for like 30-60 minutes and nothing has dropped so far, i feel like its useles to even try.
200% agree, if Boxes were common during p1, they became stupidly rare during p2.
I levelled a bunch of characters to 40 and managed to get a total of 3 Supply boxes across all of them during the levelling process (7chars).
At 40, through dungeons, Gnome, quests and other activities, I have not gathered enough on any char to hit Honored, let alone Revered.
This is also considering all of them got to Friendly through the low level boxes.
Change the drop rate, or come up with more ways to gain rep, this is ridiculous
