We are completely bloated at the moment what direction is Midnight heading then?

I have the same fear, ppl have made addons without being paid to patch elements that are missing from the core game for past 20 years. I will be extremely positively supprised if they are able to put conditions of party members to show on partyframe or conditions like cc and major cds to show on nameplate and the like. Otherwise all is just going to overlap 10 cds in both pvp and pve constantly.

My only addon is Details and I got to rival in 12 games. But I know most class abilities

PvP UI that should be baseline are:

  • BigDebuffs (basically add some more customization to debuffs on raid frames in arena)
  • OmniBar (at least kicks - not necessarily more)
  • Gladius/SARENA (or at least improve Arena Frames adding DRs and proper PvP Trinket durations - trinkets for healers still show 2 min. there lol)
  • NameplateBuffs (at least let us customize them tiny little bit - at least timers on debuffs so it’s easier to refresh dots on Affli for example)
  • Details (so you can analyze games)

Nah, baseline should be brain. And for brain to work, we need a bit of pruning. Not outsource brain to addons

Brain won’t help you to dispel debuffs if you don’t see them without BigDebuffs. With baseline Blizzard settings you see literally almost no buffs on raid frames. As a Healer you need it for sure.

OmniBar with kicks is a basic tool to play caster. Imagine playing a caster in Ret/War atm moment without it. 0 chance.

Blizzard arena frames are awful and show wrong timer for enemy healer PvP trinket.

As a monk I always see when my mates are cced and I free them. It’s common sense. Just get used to playing without addons. You also see stuff on party frames. But it’s overall just too many abilities in the game and it becomes exhausting as hell and sometimes untrackable/unguessable what someone has. Pruning is the answer, not outsourcing your brain to addons that do tracking for you.

Wow has way less mechanical skill than a game like LoL. For wow pvp to be interesting at all, there needs to be mindgames, self-tracking, voice-comms maybe, etc. Wow is not a game where you dodge stuff and mechanically outplay people, and thus we shouldn’t have tools that outsource what should happen in our brains

I think this if a bit fried take and overreaction. Even basic MOBAs show debuffs better. Nowadays because of a lot of crap buffs and debuffs Raid Frames don’t show anything. Even LoL and MOBA show them better. This has nothing to do with skill. It’s basically lack of information. Debuff filtering is fine and I see no problem in it. Also it’s not tracking it for you it’s basically showing information. I use OmniAuras for it now because I’m too lazy to adjust it in BigDebuffs and OmniAuras default is fine.

It was in the past but isn’t anymore mainly because of weak auras spaming siren or something else whenever something happens. I’d love Weak Auras to go for sure but I don’t believe than any of the addons I mentioned have negative impact on the game.

Literally baseline Arena Frames showing wrong CD on healers trinket isn’t going to make the game better. Or lack of DR tracker isn’t doing anything good for the game.

I think Omnibar is very bad for the game. Maybe you don’t realise it, but tracking a cooldown in your mind and estimating when it’s off, is a skill in itself. It’s part of the game imo. In LoL for example when you play Toplane, you also have to track the ultimate of your opponent with your brain.

But I’ve never said I want cooldown tracking. I mentioned only kicks on Omnibar. There is just too much of them. I’ve even added brackets to say kicks only.

Also WoW isn’t LoL. In League most spells are instants and you don’t have to deal with interrupts.

And that means Blizz should shrink micro cc and interrupts.

Imo they should also shrink passive mitigation a little. If a warlock throws a chaos bolt with 500k dmg at someone, it should remove 500k of someone’s health bar

But they don’t plan to do it. They will firstly try to reduce the amount of addons. This might be another step in far future.

Far future sounds good enough to me.

Not for me because I like WoW and I’d like to play it now but I struggle. When I play retail even when I win I’m not happy that I won I’m happy I don’t have to further play this arena.

You could play MoP classic. I still like playing Retail, but I move on after a bit and come back later for 11.1.7 or 11.2.5. Won’t play 11.2, wanna wait for caps to get removed :joy:

I will. I’m playing Cata already and leveling chars for MoP. I might try to push some retail at the end of the season but now I struggle with motivation.

This account show no pvp played nor any pve. But for the sake of amusement if you mean blitz or shuffle as dps then its whatever anyways.

You can get rival without any addons on any current op dps in there very easily like war or retri or dh. You will still overlap 10 cds with your party as healer if you cant see their cds what they have activated right now or unused, thats the whole point but its been said so many times already.

Also like were said try play lock or sp without seeing enemy kicks, that will become interesting if you try. You need to play pvp on bit bigger scale to understand this in general I think.

Ye, virtually impossible to see nothing on unitframe when it show 40 different condition on the player that are of no worth to know at all and I would need to see some specific proc or dispellable thing from among 40 of his conditions in unitframes buff/debuffs. Also omniaura for both partyframe and nameplate conditions is bis tier addon I love it :dracthyr_heart:

I played some pvp. Was kinda fun, but yeah, it felt like a chaotic tavern brawl, where I couldn’t understand what’s going on due to ability bloat. But as said, I quit in Dragonflight, so a lot of stuff from before is gone

I cant see from this armory what you played and this pala show nothing in the rated modes and you are hidden in check pvp and the like but yeah you need addons to play pvp honestly, healing becomes pointless without any means to see conditions on player etc

Retribution in solo shuffle? The pala show nothing for any mode. Retribution is good in shuffle anyway, its the best dps right now there. Im supprised the latest tuning has nerf only for arms and not havoc or retri which are both equally op in pvp right now.
