“All damage increased by 5%. Does not affect PvP combat.” Means that this is 5% buff for sub in pve only but not for pvp so it is pve specific buff.
DOES NOT AFFECT PVP COMBAT=AFFECTS ONLY TO PVE COMBAT
But you tried say that only pvp has some sort of bonus via pvp specific tuning, which is not correct. By same logic pve also has “bonus” via pve specific tuning. So if both have this then is it any bonus at all if its the same for both.
OK. Il give you that. Different words, same meaning.
But there is no such a thing as a “PvE aura”. There is only PvP aura. That should already point you towards something.
The talents are PvE only basically. And they make exceptions on certain skills for PvP. If those exceptions are not to your liking, then ask for different exceptions.
There is no other way to do it. Unless they make a special talent tree for you guys. But fortunatelly, every single spell has a PvP aura, and there are 3 PvP exclusive talents. Including defensives. Its the easiest way to do it. Question now is: Why dont they do it?
I mean. Consider the alternatives: A talent tree that is PvP centric. With PvE exceptions, a “PvE aura” and 3 “PvE talents”. That dosent change anything at all. We are back to square 1.
You claimed that only pvp gains specific tuning which is not correct.
Pvp does not have some specific bonus which pve wouldnt have, they both have the same pvp/pve specific tuning.
Every ability has different modifier for pve as well.
When they write in tuning notes DOES NOT AFFECT PVP COMBAT=AFFECTS ONLY TO PVE COMBAT
Rogue gains 5% more dmg in pve, means he wont have 5% more dmg in pvp. This means we are doing both pve/pvp specific tuning. Then there is talent tree changes which affects both. But believe whatever you wish, believe or not but I dont have energy to debate this level mental gymnastics. The matter is painfully plain and not important on big scale of things, Im done with this topic.
You claimed false statements related tuning implying that they would only do pvp specific tuning which people had to correct you on. But the matter is not important on big scale of things, Im done with this topic, its now running in circles. Im not going to get dragged in this further with you. Still weary of the last debate of trying tell me or others we play the game wrong if we bind all our abilities for pvp.
Because players who can’t play at a world first level need every second they can get. Mana breaks suck, that’s why you don’t see them in high keys. The healers drinks a few sips while the tank is gathering the pull.
Full on breaks are a reason why keys can get bricked.
Edit: I’m not gonna discuss this any further. This is the perfect case of „let me give my opinion while I have no clue about the game“
This is what I do in my keys. And it might not contribute to bricking the key. But its 100% annoying.
CB in a +15. Super tight timer. The 1st room the damage is crazy. With pull after pull of unavoidable AoE and a ton of damage. On the party, and/or the tank.
And then. You chain pull a small pack to the boss. Which is not a big deal. But the ST nukes it does on people… that is nothing to laugh about. ESPECIALLY if you are not a Oracle DPriest. Who, up to really high keys can get away with shielding 2 people and negating the mechanic with 2 globals. Unlike everyone else that actually has to heal that with hard casted heals.
Its not a fight you want to start with 20% mana. As a RShaman atleast.
So. I am forced to BEG the tank to wait for the DDs to kill 1 pack so we get out of combat. So I can sit and drink while he pulls the next pack. With out a healer… risking either a wipe on that pull (while I drink) or in the boss for starting with 20% mana.
Its annoying to say the least. And its a +15. FAR from title range.
And what is especially annoying is that my skill is not rewarded. I kept the party alive up to that point, and I am punished for it. Either by taking risks, or by doing miracles during the boss.
If you watch a streamer play M+, all they see is Combat Auras, Frames, Bars, and Platers. Even verbal communication has been outsourced to algorithms. They don’t see a game, and the content, gameplay, and classes are designed for people that play like this. Bloat is removed by removing those tools over the long run. Addons have only lead to people optimizing the fun out of wow, and Blizzard let it happen, that their game has turned into an aberration. The wind is blowing now from the opposite direction thanks to Ion seeing it.
I just don’t like it when people use terms that are not really truthful. It feels dishonest to me.
Can’t help it man. It triggers me.
Nobody has ever been forced to do content in WoW (well, not by the devs anyway, there might be some weird rl situation where someone is actually forced to play in some threatening, not okay way). It’s all a choice.
