It is still
-10% of Hunt Damage and less FttF procs.
Yesterday I had a very strong feeling that they have hidden nerfed our Leech. On BG I was absolutly killable in MetaForm. Before - I could tank big groups and could be dead only in a long chain stun.

More Hidden Nerfs pls.

Glide Dh glide! all that matters!

You had to jinx it:

  • The Hunt now heals for 10%/20% (as Havoc/Vengeance) of damage dealt to the marked target for 20 sec (was 25%/50% for 30 seconds).
  • Charred Warblades now heals for 3% of Fire damage dealt (was 5%).
  • Fixed an issue that unintentionally permitted Fodder to the Flame’s heal effect to crit.
  • Essence Break damage reduced by 8%.
  • Sigil of Misery PvP duration reduced to 4 seconds (was 5 seconds).
  • Concentrated Sigils duration increase value reduced by 50% in PvP combat.
  • Precise Sigils duration increase value reduced by 50% in PvP combat.
  • Extended Sigils duration increase value reduced by 50% in PvP combat.
  • Fodder to the Flame heal effect reduced by 40% in PvP combat.
  • Consume Soul heal effect when consuming a Demon Soul reduced by 60% in PvP combat.
  • Essence Break damage reduced by 20% in PvP combat.

Now DH got no reliable on demand self heals and RNG heals also nerfed to nothingness. Meanwhile Warriars that fill the same niche still have most of their self-sustain untouched.

the consume soul nerf was very unnecessary

have to proc it, wait for it to land, pick it up - 3s already past - only to get healed 13k xd

Enjoy trying to survive versus melees with 10% leech.

Fodder was the only reason DH didnt have to run 24/7 in Shadowlands and not only did they butcher that but everything else aswell.

To be fair - Fdder is very toxic design from PvP perspective both to play with and against. When you play against it you feel that instantly topping off out of nowhere is unfair especially when DH is lucky with procks. On the other hadn as DH it feels awful when you get no prock the whole match. RNG component for ability of such impact have no place in PvP.

But instead of nerfing it - it should be replaced with some reliable on demand on CD heal. Currently DH is the only melee (and ranged) with no on demand self heal to pick themselves up after being bursted.

Literally anything would’ve been better than straight up gutting all its healing which makes it useless now next to Elysian Decree.

Make it a 1/2 minute cooldown. Rework it into an usable ability like idk, Fel Veins, so it heals you for 30% max hp heal and gives you 15% damage increase, the options were plenty.

Blizzard though just gutted it and now you can perma kite again as a melee.

You guys are starting to look decent now !
Welcome to the club

I’d nerf dh one more time like remove dodge from blur. The only thing they should do is to make 30 sec eyebeam and 30 sec essence break. Don’t care even if essence break will do 0 dmg. I just cant see half brain dhs right now. Please nerf to the state of shadowlands

I agree, Blizzard have definitely knee-jerk reacted and over-nerfed Demon Hunters with these latest changes.

First they admit 1. Fodder to the Flame scaling with Haste was a bug, then 2. Admit the healing was unintentionally critting, but -before- even testing that and how these fixes will now effect the randomly proccing heal DH have, they instead apply a further nerf to it?!

I just don’t see the logic, they’re also nerfing some other sources of healing as well, so i’m pretty concerned Demon Hunters will fold like paper come Season 1 if they don’t revert some of these changes.

An overall 28% nerf to Essence Break was also unwarranted, it’s quite frankly disgusting that Blizzard have chosen to ‘tune’ these abilities/talents, whilst leaving classes like Warlocks and Rogues relatively untouched, pumping out ridiculous damage, whilst still having the best crowd control/escape moves in the game.

Furthermore, Windwalker Monks still have a one shot, Elemental Shaman/Marksman Hunter still have a one shot, and several other specilizations are still doing too much damage comparatively.

Where was the tuning for these?

The fact they’re introducing such drastic nerfs right before season 1 is also stupid as well - if anything large changes should come at the -end- of a season once smaller ones have had time to bed in.

One can only assume Blizzard have catered to the ceaseless whining of other players who don’t know how to easily counter Demon Hunters (hello snares and stuns); thereby introducing over the top nerfs to placate the masses.

stop making sense, our 70k blade dance crits every 40s is too much for healers to handle, and other classes actually have to maybe use a defensive against it

Rogue sustain was just cut in half both in PvP and PvE - leeching poison nerfed from 10% to 5% (and that is last tier talent - Wars getting it in the first) and Soothing Shadow by 50% in PvP. All self heal rogues have baseline is 20% heal over 4 sec on 30 sec CD.

They’r not in a great position sustain-wise either.

Locke too getting trimmed bit by bit.
now they get 3% of their damage as soul leech instead of 6% and soul leech itself dropped from 15% to 10% (talented). The last change was kinda unnesesary - if they take constant damage they never reach the cap and this is just quality of life thing that prevents them from being dazed off the mount in open world.
