In my opinion we missed an opportunity to have a second race that can do DH with the: Man’ari (Eredar)
Considering the pseudo redemption of KJ when he died or his regrets/pain when talking about the sacrifice of his planet with Sargeras during the 7.2 patch.
I would have no problem accepting the fact that in the argus scenario some Man’ari with Velen and DH try to control their demon / demonic energy and become by scenario a playable race of the alliance. (family reunited, friends, tension etc )
This would have made red skinned/horned/winged draenei or others that could be Demon Hunter, Warlock etc which would have had a real added value and bring a little more original design than the sancteforges that could have just been basic draenei custom, since they don’t bring any new playable classes or even less.
And I would have found it more coherent and nice than the sancteforge and the cosmic millennial RGB army.
I already believe in it less, as well as the scenario Mag’har and Naz*yrel (what a waste, she should have followed us to Azeroth and taken Velen’s place as leader of the draeneis who would have sacrificed himself (velen) during Legion 7.3 or to defeat KJ in an ultimate cinematic at the end of the raid) and Garrosh lightbringer
Having the Man’ari and what it would have brought to the game was obvious to me during 7.2 with Kil-Jaeden’s behavior and even more so with Argus and 7.3.
I hope I made myself understood despite my poor English
the horde already has the overwhelming majority of pve players, and the draeneis are an alliance race so on the point of consistency it would make more sense that they are ally.
and it would have made a hype race on the alliance side, after the Kultiran or the meca gnom really not popular compared to the Mag’har or the superb Zandalari
just like the horde already has DHs, it’s not like the class is exclusive
Anyway it’s too late I think, but I wouldn’t have been against them being in the horde even if it would have been strange and the horde would have had an extra body model so also an imbalance.
The blood elves should never have been in the base horde (with troll lol) it was already an inconsistency. , it was just for the needs of the gameplay to make a beautiful race on the horde side .
And now in the alliance and the horde you can make high elves.
Zandalari have the body model of the night elves but better.
But then that’s not the problem, if there are eradars on the horde side it would be weird especially with the war out of the hat in BFA to see repentant eredars killing draeneis or alliance members would have been stupid but considering the lore of the game we’re not that close ahah
That doesn’t answer why Blizzard suddenly decided to give the Alliance side the model too after having it as a Horde model for many years. They literally threw in a random story unrelated to the rest of the game to include them.
They share the skeleton but the model differs, Void Elves are literally cut and paste outside of some skin tones and facial customizations.
lol non Velen n’aurait jamais fait ça vu ses remords d’avoir abandonné son peuple dans l’urgence, not to mention the families who would be happy to see their loved ones again after thousands of years
After 15 years of inconsistency
the horde could have had Satyrs as an allied race for the draenei skeleton.
but personally I don’t care I think we should have had the Man’ari since legion and why not in the horde after BFA and its doubtful war.
Or the Man’ari would not have participated in this fraudulent war as it should have been the case for the nightborne and Thalyssra
So because people like to play as horde, you would favor alliance by giving them next DH race? Just because “horde have majority of pve players” and we stay with one blood elf right?
Such a great argument
Personally, from a lore standpoint I doubt that the Eredar can ever join the Alliance side, not just because of the Draenei not accepting them back, but because of the reluctance of other Alliance races to see them join their ranks.
Void elves just barely made the cut, and it is only because Alleria is a war hero, and thus has enough influence for other races to begrudgingly accept them in their ranks.
Most Draenei were born later (draenor / azeroth) , and most eredar were abandoned when Velen fled, some had to be forcibly converted and then demonic magic did the rest.
That’s why a scenario with Velen and the DH class masters would have been welcome to control this demonic magic and not give in to his impulses of chaos.
The reunion of some families after thousands of years, and the need of some to learn more about the eredar culture they didn’t know, there is really something to do.
and my regrets for Yrel who could have been the leader of the draenei after having lived a second sacrifice of Velen.
Yrel is a great character with a good writing and a good devellopement during WoD, it’s really a pity that the scenario doesn’t bring her in our timeline, with a little different writing at the end of the wod.
it would have made a real female leader to appreciate and not an embarrassing quota like some current NPC.
This brings up the question of the forsaken: they can’t even put their feet in Stormwind to say “Hi” to their families after being raised as what they are. I’d love to see the Eredar as a playable race - even though I don’t touch Draenei at all -, but I think the best implementation would be a separate look option for them. Demon Hunters, Death Knights are kind of on the side anyway after their expansion is over - at least it feels like this to me -, same goes for monks too.
It would be nice to have more options for DH since not many people like elves, but enjoys the DH play style, although I don’t really see this happening.
Thank this to the high elf fan base and their MS kween.
