Aaaand that has nothing to do with this topic. Delete!
I just said any class in general. No just tinkers
Fair enough… But that has been and will be the recepie of blizzards new expansions for a long while now though.
New zones and lore
New player power systems…
Then usually a new race or a new class in between the expansions…
Edit: Okey also stuff like thorgast… Island expiditions… Warfronts forgot a mention.
An expansion without new races and classes? Well I am not opposed too it… But blizzard would have too re invent their usual expansion recepie from what we are all used too
As long as it aint just a cooler hunter/warrior and has its own concept and class system like OP mention… I am actually not opposed to Tinkerer. If Blizzard does it right
Any class in the game can be classed as a job?
Not sure what this fake argument you’re making is.
What i think you’re trying to say is : It is not something used for killing.
And to that i say… Nor is a shaman or a priest or a monk.
So topic not closed. Sorry.
A priest becomes something for killing when put in a killing context, just the same as a tinkerer does. So please stop with this fake attempt at an argument.
Lastly… Engineer is literally a class in other MMOs… It is also a class clearly defined in prior Warcraft titles, and in WoW itself; just not a playable one. So don’t tell me there aren’t tech based killers in the game. What do you call those giant mechs?
I agree completely. I think the Bounty Hunter from SWTOR is a good example of an MMO tech class done right and you could take some inspiration from that. For DPS you could have bombs of all varieties, missiles, flamethrowers, mines, turrets, aerial bombardment… you name it. Tank would revolve around the mech and you could swap out different weapons and defensive systems on it. Healing spec could be done in any manner of ways and the options for general utility have infinite potential as there would be a gadget for every situation.
It’s honestly the easiest W you could possibly have. No other class or spec in the game overlaps with the tech theme (which is usually the argument against Necromancers because of Unholy) and everyone loves missiles, bombs and giant mechs. It’s a no brainer and feels like it should have been added years ago.
Well maybe Gaslowe gives hints of Tinker class in War within. If Blizzard finds a way to make it work so why not. Will also let the Goblins and Gnome/Mechagnome show what they “can” do. Tinker could Tank, DPS, and Heal and each spec use different machine like druid change form for each spec. And also like each race shaman class has its own totem so could also each race tinker class has its own version of machines. The Machines don’t have to be huge like they are ingame, perhaps just the size of a tauren. Perhaps in The Last Titan would be the best to release the tinker class as we going back to Ulduar in that expansion.
Example or something similar.
Tank.
DPS.
Healer.
i made a post like this back in bfa.
in short i wanted the dev team to just copy the goblin / gnome island expedition teams as they’re basically the tinker class.
1 tank with a mech, 1 dps with bombs & 1 heal with healbots.
A class that fights with its wits and skills in engineering using gadgets and explosives, basically macgyver of wow. Would fit gnomes, goblin, vulpera and dwarven in wow the most but I wouldnt mind other races having it aswell. I agree give us tinkerer.
See, i look at these images, and i wonder how people say a tinker can’t be a class.
Also, 100% agree with each race getting their own style of mech.
I’ve got to wonder why it isn’t in the game yet… I just feel like it is such an obvious choice… Like… They chose evoker over this… It blows my mind. Demon hunter and DK i can understand… Monk?? I can’t… But Evoker?? What were they thinking? They’d rather make up a race AND a class, than put in an established one that two race identities pretty heavily hinge on…
What? Classes are literally jobs… or are you telling me a Priest is born a Priest?
We Need A Tinker Class BADLY
Why?
What would they add to the game Engineering don’t already provides?
It is “What do we want? Necromancer! When we want it? Now!!!™” all over again
Simply pointless when it already basically exist in the game and called unholly Death Knight
Theres great pun waiting for any class to say they were born this way. Tinkerer would make fun gnome if could play one with dozen gimmicky type gadget like abilities, not so much into the mech but like a combat engineer with gadgets would be nice I think.
Tinker would be Goblin and Gnome only
it would most likely be a Tank / Dps class
it would most likely be a summoner class,
summoning turrets or machines like alarm bots
it will most likely never happen, as Blizzard dont like balancing classes
mech suit for tank
grenades and turrets for dps
something along those lines i guess
there is already engineer in WoW as the job itself called “engineer”
then engineer is a job work not a class and any class can become an engineer.
boom
drops the mic
Again, this is like saying an enchanter is a profession so we don’t need mages.
This isn’t a real argument.
Again, people bring up “tinker is a profession not something for killing!”; then i just point out priests and shamans and monks…
We’re asking for a class that relies on advanced tech to fight. Stop trying to use some weird contextualization to suggest implementing such a thing is impossible. It isn’t. It has been done in other games, and has several depictions in this very game.
Not really
An enchanter use magical formulas to grant permanent augmentation to armor, weapons, and other items, but not necessarily a Mage or Wizard themselves, but because of the Well of Eternity exploding and covering Azeroth with Arcane, the world’s ambient magic level is quite high, like an everpresent ambient radiation that makes this possible
Basically everything, not just sentinent creatures but even stones and plants are carring Magic in them or have a latent ability to use it either actively or either instinctively
Everyone on Azeroth
Regardless if this is still canon explanation or not, basically every class and spec have a form of magical skill to reflect this relic piece of lore - or at worse have a hearthstone witch itself is an enchanted stone that can teleport the wielder to the location it is bound to
You don’t have to be a Mage to be able to learn enchanting on Azeroth
Yes you can be a warrior or a rogue, no mana and no magic affiliation and become enchanter
Yeah
More so, even warriors have “magical” abilities and skills Avatar for example or using your rage to regenerate your wounds, like a Sith… not something what is possible as a non-magical individual
And don’t let me start about Rogues and their shadow-magic…
