We NEED bad luck protection

I’m not saying i’ve never been lucky with the weekly vault and i’m not saying i don’t like the vault, i want that to be clear. I’m saying there is room for improvement.

In previous season i’ve had a couple of lucky weeks, getting the item i wanted, however this season i’ve gotten between 2 and 6 vault slot on my 3 tanks every week and i have yet to see a trinket, weapon or very rare item on one of them.
The game atm. is great i love the raids, the dungeons, the upgrade system and even the world content, yet the vault alone is currently turning me off from playing the game. It makes me feel like i waste my time.

My suggestion is instead of rolling an item from a raid boss or a dungeon then you roll a raid boss or dungeon. Example: i now roll head, legs and neck but with my suggestion i roll brackenhide, vortex and neltharus. I then get a token for the dungeon i chose which i can then take to the vendor next to the vault and turn in for any item on that dungeons loot table. that would mean that after 9 weeks or so you would have been able to pick an item from each dungeon if you want. The same with raid bosses, you could roll Zskarn, rashok and sarkareth and get a token for those bosses loot table.

i think grinding for gear is fine but sitting on week 9 in full 441 plus just waiting for decent trinkets while everyone else have theirs is not fun at all and honestly not fair as i am doing the same content and investing the same time as the people who have already gotten their trinkets and weapons.

  • Fewer tier pieces will start dropping from bosses next week as the Catalyst is out. 1 Tier Piece and 3 Non-Tier pieces on Mythic difficulty, but it affects all difficulties.

Would be nice if that extended to the vault.

I hardly think that will happen.
because there is far too little loot and extremely few dungeons for m+.

if the drop chance stacks up over time, then hardly anyone will waste their time in the game.
MUCH MORE drops simply have to be programmed here, which enable interesting ways of playing! and not always the same boring nonsense…

at the moment you can hardly motivate the players with lousy content… after a month i timed every 20s in both weeks… so why should i farm some strange gear?

Sorry, you failed that NEED roll. If only you had a bonus roll you might have gotten it…

The desperate need for loot in modern wow is kinda crazy, I remember when wow classic came out, it took a month for my mage to get an item in molten core, a single item.

The reality is, you do not need the best possible trinkets, yeah it doesn’t feel good not having them, my priest has been trying to get essence since the raid opens, but they aren’t required to play your role.

If you were in a guild where racing for world rankings mattered, then the items would have been funnelled to you already. If not? Then you play the dice game just like everybody else.

There’s a dps in my guild who has been shafted insanely hard by RNG, he’s using flowstone (which is like 5th for his class) and an M+ trinket and he’s still churning out 99 parses on most fights.

You dont need to level in this game either - but it’s usually more fun when you do.

If you are in full 441 gear, what content you cant do?
Is that trinket drop really gatekeeps you from beating hardest bosses?

I firmly believe gear is important to some extent, but after that it is only skill/coordination what can come in our way. To me, it sounds more like obsession and being slave to BiS lists than real NEED to be able to overcome challenges.

I play the game even without the trinkets and i push the key levels i want to without much issue at this point and it’s not so much about power or being slave to a BiS list it’s about the feeling of not being rewarded for time investment. I would like to see less RNG, they asked for it in the PvP community before SL and they got it so i don’t see anything wrong in requesting a second look at the systems we have in PvE. I don’t need the trinkets but i don’t like farming 10 weeks now without seeing at least one while i can open my guild tab and see people looting theirs on week one of a fresh alt. So it’s just to express how the system feels and how i suggest a tweaked version could look.

If you dont need it, dont farm it for 10 weeks, thats how I feel about it.
But yes, OCD can be really strong.

We really need some Duplicate Protection.
My Pally Alt did the Suffusion camp last week as it was in the Aiding weekly. They were 66 to begin with but dinged 67 doing it (strange thing was at 66 it felt easy at 67 died alot must be weird scaling there). At the end of this I found 4 pairs of Suffusion Gauntlets in my bags that I can’t wear til 70. Would it be game breaking to have one some wrists or a belt or some boots as well as one pair of gauntlets?

After dozens of runs and weeks of vaults, I still have the same rare trinket I have had since my DH hit 70.

Not a single trinket has dropped for me. It’s crazy.

You already have a bad-luck-protection in place.
If you might be bothered to remember:
The Great Vault is actually the measure that guarantees you loot when you did not have any luck rolling on loot in raids or m+. That is the bad-luck-protection.

I suggest to stop claiming more and more options to obtain loot or we might end up with 447 items being sold for copper on vendors as bad-luck-protection…

more items need to drop we dont like this timegated system

Why dont you get crafted JC or Alchemy trinket?

No loot, no progress. Simple as that.

Wouldn’t kill the game to let us farm currency from the raids that let us buy exactly what item we want. Make it even rank 1 forcing you to upgrade it to be comparable with higher difficulties.
