We NEED Bnet Wide Sharing

Hi,
I recently moved from the US to EU. And since i didn’t want to deal with the large ping and time difference., I have been playing on EU servers.
I understand, the character, the gold etc can’t come over.

But why can’t my achievements, mounts, mogs etc come over? I know not many are in my shoes. But something like this should be Bnet Wide.

I know a couple that are in your shoes. And it baffles me why those things dont transfer.

I cannot find a technical reason to why its not possible to do.

Most likely the 2 games do not share a common database. It’s also why they don’t allow transferring one’s account from one region to another.

I can’t think of an easy parallel to draw an example. The best I can think is with different emulators of the same console: You can create a save file with one emulator, but if you drop it to another emulator it cannot recognize it despite having the exact same information stored in the exact same order and offset.

An emulator is something much more advanced than a database. At worst a guy can get a pen drive with his data and send it by post if that is what it takes.

But yeah, you are probably right. Different databases. But WoW is 20 years old by now. Whatever technical reasons as to why you cant copy-paste (plus maybe a translator in between) Runic’s character data… I still cant see why not.

I think the issue is not so much in extracting the data of an entire account from one region, but injecting it into the database of the new region. There are so many connected things and “locked in” values that could translate to gibberish in the new region or outright corrupt the database. Maybe it’s deliberate under the excuse of “too much work and cost for too small profit”.

I’m in exactly the same situation, and I’ve also noticed that WoW tokens are not available to me in the in-game shop!!!

If you can proof your permanent residency is in Europe they can turn your US license into an EU one. At least they have done so in the past (you may have to spam tickets).

True I need to beable to send gold from WoW to Hearthstone.

Only if I can transfer my legendaries from Diablo to WoW

You may need to switch the country of your account. You go into your account, change country. Probably gonna have to open a ticket (Or its automated. I dont recall. I think its once every 6 months you can change the country of your bnet account) Provide proof. and then all currencies will change And you should see a wow token to buy.
