We need GM back to WoW/SoD

Its ridicolus how many bots that are around in Silithus all day and all night long farming Black lotuses and the prices on them only making it more ridicolus when you see their movement and it would take anyone no longer then a few minutes to check each “player” if they where using a bot program but instead we should rely on reports in game that does nothing (Even if you get a mail from Blizzard they do not permanent ban ppl you report). We rely on “Warden” and it dosent seem it working due to how flooded SoD have been when it comes to bots.

Aggrend (will prob not see this) log online and check “players” in Silithus, 5 min each for 2 hours on different SoD servers and/or only the “MEGA SERVERS” and I promise you that you will be banning most of those you will be looking at that is there farming.

This directly contradicts your other part below:

Generally Blizzard is well aware of the bot activities and bans in waves. More about that even further below.

They actually do, but once the accounts are permanently banned they come back again since they’re very easy to bot.

For example in another F2P game Valorant & League this is explained in more detail why it is so difficult:

The botting problem is prevalant in all games/MMO’s, not just WoW. If there was a solution there would be one by now.

An ex-dev that worked at Blizz:

You may suggest any methods you may think of through the ingame feedback box but it is not likely that it will be groundbreaking new suggestion.

Starting to sound a bit like a bot yourself now with your copy/paste nonsense

Get GMs back to patrol Megaservers in Bot Spots, if you’re serious about combatting this.
Like you could probably hire the ppl who bot and pay them what their making through botting to have them ban all other botters.
The Megacorp here just doesn’t care enough and your shilling isn’t helping either

Before Season of Discovery even started, Blizzard was advertising this so called “New Technology to detect bots.” But here we are in Phase 5, and what’s actually going on? A total botting circus. Bots are everywhere. So, Blizzard, was that just another lie? Or was the “new tech” just empty promises?

Bad formulated by me maybe, english is not my first language but what I mean is, Blizzard always says we should report the bots and rely on that system. I have been reporting the same bots (even added them on my friendlist) for 2 weeks and they are still running around. Please explain to me how “We hear folks say things like “just ban the bots” a lot. We ban tens of thousands of bots a week. It’s not visible to you just how much we do” this is true then. Should I w8 another 6 weeks for another 50 thousands getting banned and maybe, MAYBE they get banned?

Thats the thing, “bans in waves”, when the bots already made their damage to the economy, yeah sure ban them when they have gotten the use out of them, why do you think they coming back?

I have a good example of this in TBC classic, I normally where farming in Terrokar forest for Terocone, saw the same bot there day in, day out, it became week in, week out. Got a mail finally from Blizzard thanking me of reporting, the bot wasent online for a week. Then he was back. I even still have the recording of the bot I could send you to showcase it is 100% a bot so you dont come with the argument “maybe it wasent a bot? Are you sure it was a bot?”

Human interaction is the best one to battle this, not to rely on the warden system that some of the programs even bypass. Even you need to be able to agree that would be the best solution becuase you only need to be at the high botted places. Telling your community you banning alot of bots, yeah sure, when they get flagged by warden IF and WHEN it happens.

If you know someone is cheating, why would you let them continue cheating to w8 for the next “ban wave”, its better to combat it direcly.

Only thing you need is GMs that focus on botting, I could do it for free to remove bots from the servers. Removing GMs was the biggest misstake they could ever do.

soooo they’re waiting for sod to end to ban a single bot that’s it ? :joy:
because the same bots have been there for months and i’ve reported some more than 100times.

don’t bother. id be surprised if they even play the game. just repeating their authority figures like a good little bootlicker. definitely got all their booster shots.

yeah it’s kinda scary how the video game industry is changing for the worse.

Yeah it’s cow boy country out there

I can remember when there where real GM’s IN GAME

Im getting reports everyday from players mad that i’m removing an exploit that they love to use in SW

Not sure if blizz changed it so priests and paladins can get their runes elsewhere, but I prefer removing the undying laborer from the area anyway

It bug’s various npc’s and is incredibly noisy listening to 50+ people afk’ing next to the AH

I have sent quite a few tickets with details about players actively advertising for others to report me for stopping them using this exploit.

How messed up in the head can people be that they think someone removing an exploit used to sabotage other players is griefing them, lots of self centered arrogant manchildren going around in wow

I just can’t help removing it though, It might get me banned but least I’m stopping players using an exploit for a while.

I did a victory dance today when I beat all the players using the exploit in the middle of the auction house …me shaking me bottom :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated: and pulling shapes did not go down well with the exploiters.

Lots of whispers and abusive language but it’s worth the result

Worry not my Undying Laborer friend, the Labor Union will help you find peace and quiet and you can finally rest.

Not sure if there’s a limit to how far blizz can sink

I had a post removed yesterday for trying to help a customer get a refund due to them being banned for something they had not done.

They seemed genuine in there issue in game and couldn’t get any help through customer service and they had two posts closed for trying to get help on the forums, only thing that was posted was a copy and paste guff from a green poster that didn’t help

LOL here I am getting false reports for removing a bugg/exploit fromthe game thats been there for months

And im getting posts removed for trying to help customers

hahahahahaha blizz im not trying to steal your job, just pull your finger out a bit eh

Nice pasta, but it has no anchor in reality.

The bots are OUT OF HAND

Duskwood GY, absolute overrun. Youve got packs of bots competing for mobs.
Thorium point. Constant stream of bots.
Kargath, same bots logging in looping around the back of the building and onto the FP.

Youve even got “the more clever” bots which will have some low pvp rank and a guild.
Heck its soo bad ive run across people in MC gear botting. Same scripted behaviours, die, do the same thing ignore you despite your constant ganking, just go through the script that theyre programmed to do.

This is a symptom of a much larger problem.
Blizzard not giving a toss, when you have people gambling with accounts that they might have actually put time and effort into lol cause NOTHING IS DONE.

Just goes to show how easy it is to bot even for casual andies.

And if youre wondering, yes i report them all in hopes theyll get banned.
but its disheartening when you see bots with names literally off some .txt file database of random facebook users and nothing done about it.

Its 90% the same thing, either random combination of letters, random legit ppls names scraped off of facebook or somewhere, latinised chinease names.
The character is a hunter, pets unnamed cause they would be extra effort to come up with another set of random names for pets

logged in for stupid amounts of time doing pixel perfect laps

The 10% remaining are fishbotting players/rmt’ers - no rule imho
herbing bots - hunters / druids
mining bots - hunters / druids
feels like some of these bots have both gathering proffesions.

Before it was bots that had skinning but since skinning doesnt really make you money rn ive seen mostly miners / herbers with like 80% skewed towards herbing cause thats the real money maker cause of the current raidlogging meta.

It ruins gameplay for regular players, cause you want to go out and farm some materials and you cant find any despite layers. Cause youre compeating with atleast 5-10 or more bots (simple /who zone will show me just my faction but when trying to farm i bump into a simmilar amount of unguilded opposite faction players hence the number)
just doing laps and clearing the zone within the herbs / ores respawn timer

I am w8ting for your reply ^^
