Pandaria is one of the best additions for WPvP. Timeless Island, PvP daily quests, Thunder Island, fights next to PvP vendors, skirmishes in the open world, and eventually attacks on sanctuaries and cities—Blizzard robbed us of all that. WPvP has always flourished on Flamegor RU. A lot of players have lost interest in the game at the moment. You can write that no one needs WPvP by referring to statistics, but these statistics do not reflect reality. If no one needed it, there wouldn’t be so many topics about what WPvP players need. We really need a PvP server. I’m getting discouraged; World of Warcraft is my favorite game and universe, and for me, as for many other players, the clash of factions in the open world is a big part of this game.
Turning PvP/PvE mode on/off is just too stupid and doesn’t work. On our server Flamegor RU, there are enough WPvP guilds specializing specifically in open-world battles.
When you turn on PvP mode, you expose yourself to attacks from those who can strike from stealth directly from PvE mode—this just gives free rein to gankers, and you always feel like a victim, yet we still do it (play with PvP mode enabled). When I talk about WPvP, I mean tactics in the open world, battles that start from 3v3 and turn into 40v40, fights over points of interest. PvP mode turns off with any teleport, turning it on every time is inconvenient, people forget about it, and WPvP disappears. No one wants to expose themselves to attacks, and besides, there’s hardly anyone left, as almost all WPvP guilds have already gone to private servers.
There’s no way to provoke a conflict or be provoked—for example, dailies in the Krasarang Wilds, where the opposing faction in PvE mode captures points of interest, and you can’t do anything about it; you can’t defend yourself or protect your vendors.
From our latest open-world fights, you can check out the YouTube channel “Whats Your Fervor.” I’m bringing this up as an example of what WPvP means to us https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vcoKGa-XJ4 . Or the battle is more than 80х80 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Chr6NQtE8U ,(Is this similar to the ganking of low-level characters that you all talk about at the sight of the word WPvP?),
WPvP is another direction in the game that you most likely know nothing about when you write comments like “no one needs this,” “just turn on PvP mode,” and similar. We also have our own meta classes, our own raid leaders, our own statics, just like you do in PvE, arena, or RBG.
PvE mode doesn’t give us the opportunity to provoke the enemy or be provoked. You might say, you can negotiate fights with the opponent. But for us, it’s more than just using abilities on a target. For us, it has an idea and meaning; we live for it. Victory in a competition with no restrictions or rules like in BGs is important to us. And negotiating with the enemy you’re at war with = showing weakness. The PvE mode has made our guilds inactive; we’re simply not needed and discarded. Because there’s no one to defend our capitals from, help our PvE guilds get to raids without getting killed at the entrance (I’m giving this as an example of some of our activities). Yes, that’s our interest, and many people have been playing or have played this way for over 10 years. We already have difficulties with phases; we can’t always gather even a small group, like 20 people in one phase, to stand against the opponent, and we have to use various methods for different raid members to get into the right phase—we’ve come to terms with it and learned to play with it.
PvE mode on the server is the final nail in the coffin for WPvP and the entire WPvP community. That’s why threads are being created on the forum, new posts appear on Twitter and various internet resources, but Blizzard just stays silent or quietly waits for us all to leave our beloved game. That’s why we’re asking to GIVE US A CHOICE in the form of a PvP server.
