We need to do something about bg queue times in TBC

fixed for you

If the problem we’re trying to solve is “long horde queues” then having more alliance PvPers and less horde PvPers is the only way to solve it.
Just forget about merc mode already, you’re not getting it.

Only way to solve it? how exactly? because if you believe so many ppl will faction transfer you’re completely lost lmao. jesus christ, ever heard about snowball effects of bg queues?
So you have maybe 53% horde vs 47% alliance, and then? Alliance still wont queue because they are pve andys, Alliance will still snowball honor and stop playing because capped, and then it all circles again.

Use some common sense for once.

No to Merc mode the queue system is fine as it is want merc retail exists

Adding an option only for horde to trasnfer would be some kind of soultion and wouldn’t hurt the people that chose alliance like merc mode would.
Since offering a 58 boost I feel like faction changes aren’t really harmful now?

People who played horde in vanillac and tbcc are not welcome at any cost at alliance side in wrath.
You stick to your zug zug faction,we dont need your spergism at the alliance side.

zug zug

yes it’s a complete sentence

I find it funny that if the roles were reversed, and the Alliance was the once with 1+ hour queue times, then they would sit here complaining about it aswell.

This issue has nothing to do with faction imbalance, racials or hardcore PvP’ers laying in their own bed.
This is an issue where a large part of the player base is not enjoying the game experience, Alliance included.

I’ve seen many players complaining about being ganked as soon as they leave a city, which is because the horde can’t gain honor any other way. If those ppl where sitting with 10 min queues, then maybe they wouldnt sit in Area 52 and chain ganking ppl to gain an extra 100 honor.

Please everyone just understand, that for most players they haven’t chosen horde or alliance because of OP racials or some streamer they once watched. But because they have an existing character, friends on that side or maybe they just liked the way a Cow in a dress looks.

Can we please find a solution together, instead of going at each others throats.

No. It is an issue of some players wanting to play another game than the one they are playing. The solution to that is to not play the game you don’t want to play.

This has nothing to do with queue times. People didn’t camp Yojamba for 10 hours a day after reaching their pvp rank goal in classic because they cared about honor per hour, they didn’t wait in ghost form for someone to dispel in capital cities for honor. They didn’t kill that questing player 15 levels below them doing an escort quest because they needed honor. They do it because they have fun doing it. A major part of that fun is knowing how frustrating it is for the other player. That is the only reason they will ever need.

A better solution for that would be for Blizzard to fix the bugged guards so that they intervene as they are supposed to do, and did back in actual TBC.

People have known this would be an issue for months, if not years, by now. If you still chose to play horde it is only your own damn fault. Noone else is to blame for your decision.

Sure as long as that solution is aiming to solve the actual problem, and not just the one symptom that is the horde queue times.

I’ve seen you posting on alot of other posts aswell, and I know that I wont change your mind, as u just seem angry at all horde players (for some weird reason).

Anyway, as I mentioned, all people didn’t choose horde to be a hardcore PvP’er or whatever it is that you believe. Most people just did it because of friends, guilds, etc.
Why is it that we have to be punished? What is it that makes us “deserve” high queue times and an unplayable BG experience?
Saying that we can just “reroll” is also just moronic. I (like everyone else) have invested 100+ hours into a single character, I got friends, guildies and other ties to my char, which I dont want to give up because some people think that I choose horde to punish the alliance.

Also, I for one didn’t know or expect it too be like this. I’m very much a casual PvP’er and with x-server queues and a 50/50 faction balance between servers, it shouldn’t be like this.
But it is, and it IS a problem, even if u think it’s a symptom.

I know I wont change your mind and that u will just post/reply the same thing u have said on all the other forum posts on here. But that is just what I am experiencing.

I totally agree with you!
I came to play TBC to play with friends.
They are horde, I play horde with them
They play dps, I started a healer so we could make an arena team that aint 3 random dps.

Now I am stuck waiting for much more time then I actually play and being told just reroll idiot, you caused this and you knew it.
Sure let me reroll alliance and play a game I joined to play with friends alone…

We don’t demand instant queue or fast items, we just like to play the game and not wait 75% of our time for a queue to pop to actually play the game.
If blizzard can come up with something to bring the queue to 10 or 15 minutes, I think most people would be fine with that.
How I don’t know sadly.

Lmao, i’m afraid your opinion is as meaningless as your influence on what people will choose in wotlk.

Guy thought he got to decide who can roll alliance or not, hilarious.

When you pick a faction, you stick to it and thats final.
No faction traitors allowed.

I have a wonderfull solution that get everyone mad.
DISABLE RACIAL TRAITS ON BGs
You can keep em working on Arenas and world PvP if you like to.

The merc mode would be similair to this. It would make horde players to give up their racials and play with the alliance one they get. And to allow horde vs horde also would handle this problem because then racials are completly even.

Nah what Merc mode would do is let other half of the Horde keep their racials. And with no queues what would be the reason to play for the Alliance? EMFH can’t balance alone the destructive effect on the Alliance via sheer number of Horde player pooing from Horde biased retail. Blizzard killed our faction there with decade of broken racials both for PvP and PvE in Horde favor. I play Classic, because here we can play for our faction.
So please think of other solution that benefits BOTH sides of the playerbase.

Let’s be real. The Horde did this to itself. If we do something about Horde BG Q’s we have to do something about open world questing and grinding. And about dungeon grouping. And about… See where this is going?

There is the sad possibility that this problem will resolve itself by way of the Horde simply giving up and quitting in droves forever. Once enough people have quit because of this issue, the queues should get better as a result, assuming all PvP oriented alliance players aren’t long since honor capped by then.

But surely Blizzard isn’t a big fan of that solution, as it would result in a noticable lack of income. Decreasing interest in classic WoW could mean that we might not get Wrath, let alone another cycle of classic.
