Thanks for brinding a vast amount of old-mechanics and perks in this expansion. DF rocks and that’s undisputable.
Here’s a suggestion.
I’m suggesting you should consider making exclusive titles for each expansion people started WoW. It could be managed via blizz.data, where the date of the first key activated withstands.
Only 1 title/achiev for each expansion a player started the game.
It must be relatable to an expansion theme/setting
(Original 2004) and further for all expansions (BC, WOTLK, CATA, MOP, DRAENOR, LEGION, BFA, SHADOW, DF)

Interesting idea. Not sure I’d use the title but fun idea.
They pretty much already did that a while ago with the statue gift or whatever it was.
I remember Ultima Online had something like this. Cosmetic rewards reflecting the amount of years your account was.
Well, you kinda already have these.
Most expansion have titles or unique cosmetics that you could obtain through the pre-expansion events
Theramore’s tabard, the Darkspear Revolutionary title, the Haunted Memento item, Blessed Battlegear of Undead Slaying, Arcanite Ripper etc etc
True. I’m rocking “of the Iron Vanguard” and “Tarren Mill Terror” on several characters.
Those WoD titles were pretty good.

you guys already have your veteran rewards with unobtainable stuff. adding even more will push new players further away.

Yeah. There’s been countless threads about this.
In addition to the pre-patch events, there’s also elite pvp sets, special mounts, a lot of titles, challenge mode rewards etc…
I’m not really sure there’s a need for more things to show off a veteran status. If you’ve played during past expansions, chances are pretty high that you’ve got something that has been unobtainable since.

I’ve got my old vanilla rank on my Rogue, the WoD lord of war title on my paladin but my stinky DK is just unrelenting 
Please get over yourself on this issue. It’s almost like the new younger generations demanding a medal of bravery for fighting in the first world war.

I’m not really a fan of Titles. But I would love to see them start introducing more Expansions/Patch locked cosmetic rewards which represent the time you played the game.
Kind of like the MT Cosmetics, Challenge Mode Armor, and PVP and M+ rewards. But more consistent. At the end of an Expansion the ones that are removed are replaced with ones fitting the new theme.
Don’t u have enough things to show off as a veteran player?
I think that suggestion is unnecessary, unless Blizz decides to bring everything unobtainable back

I disagree. I think it just makes new people not even wanna start to play.
I think only a few select rewards should be time limited like gladiator mounts. I think time limited should be done very sparsely in a way that doesn’t frustrate people in the future

Honestly, give me one good example how it stops a new player from entering a Dungeon, joining LFR, or competing in a Battleground.

Not really. Most of those things got dished out to the entitled new players.
Yes they are great for the game. But with the way things are going they do not remain unique for very long as they are often re-introduced with new color variants or skins. Only those with the knowledge of the original rewards will understand the meaning behind them.

Blizzard is doing great decisions with bringing back old content in creative ways. I loved unlocking Naxxramas/scholomance. Was very fun to me. The rewards were also nice, especially that ice armor.
Trading post is also nice for ppl, who want one particular thing that got removed
I agree though with keeping some fomo-rewards limited like glad mounts, elite/legend titles, etc.
no it’s like ‘‘oh you had the pleasure to play it at its peak and you ask for more’’ you’re acting like old people who bought their homes for 10$ in the 80s telling new gens ‘‘you should work harder’’ .
