We should have all race classes by now

Night elf need this.

It’s been too long and there’s stale progress.

Blizzard clearly stated that they wouldn’t introduce combinations that make no sense in the lore without first introducing lore for it.

So ask yourself, what class/race combination do I want and does it make sense in the lore? If the answer is no not right now, it’s probably because blizzard thinks there’s no lore to explain it and they have to work that out first.

However at the same time with how quickly blizzard is pushing content patches with the story barely managing to keep up, I do find myself wondering if they’re even going to give themselves the time to do this.

Personally I don’t mind if they silently decided not to go through because to me all races all classes will kill a lot of race specific flavour.

Most races for paladin right now are dull imo. Human, Dwarf or Draenei for Alliance. Troll, Cow or lil’elf for Horde.

Paladin is a combo of warrior and priest, which every race can be.

If they want lore, they can easily make some. The Tauren didn’t get allot of lore for their paladins.

Night elf paladins already exist in lore, so they can build on that one.
Worgens are humans that had the door locked when the paladin order was made, so they can build on that and now they can be paladins to.
Gnomes learned it from the Dwarves.
Pandaren, make some celestial guard order. Done.
Trolls, Zandalari can be paladins/Prelates. Their cousins adopted it. Done.
I’m sure Goblins can see some profit in it.
Kul Tirans are fat humans. Easy story there.
Nightborne. I’m sure they have some hidden paladin order somewhere in the basement in Suramar.
HM Taurens just joined their cousins.
Mag’har Orc paladins can exist from Draenor since they got their whole light war there. They simply taught the regular Orcs here on Azeroth.

There we go. Lore is all done.

Lore doesn’t have to make sense. We’re Player characters nothing about our characters make sense from a npc perspective. We’ve got a whole bunch of heroes who’ve saved azeroth multiple times, killed old gods, defeated Titans, became the hero of the planeth. We’ve been to multiple other worlds and planes of existence. Not to mention we’ve died several times , been corrupted and dominated , defeated death and traveled to the shadowlands. If anything we’re probably the oldest and most illogical living being in the whole of warcraft. I’m just saying when it comes to player characters being every class it doesnt have to make sense. It’s nice if it does make sense but it’s not a requirement. And the blizzard team had so many opportunities already to make certain races get certain classes. For example Gnomes been living with Dwarves for so long they should have been getting paladin for a long time now. Not Religeous? We’ve been killing Old gods and titans and been to the shadowlands, we’ve seen so much evidence of Spirituality that it’s irrefutable.

ok skinny dragon

Nelf need paladin as much as humans need druid. We don’t.

This is true for Evoker and DH but it’s pretty irrelevant for pretty much anyone else.

Also they retconned their own lore so many times at this point it barely matters.

Let people play what they want.

welcome to we forgot Legion existed and that night elf spent time in Stormwind during shadowlands

Forsaken, can already be hpriest.

It does to me if I want it to be immersive, thats why I’m advocating/demanding there be lore to make sense of it before we try it. You will not convince me if your arguement boils down to this and the list of feats that our player characters have completed and pulled off in my eyes does nothing to justify ignoring lore in the future. I obviously don’t make the choices but the forum

Well then they can do it again and change the lore first to make it make sense, but they’re not doing that at this moment in time.
Adding all classes to all races without explanation isn’t retconning, its abandoning lore.

Blizzard has already defined lore on forsaken that wield the light later on, It’s not a happy experience for them, but it is possible. As for their reason before this retcon was later added, I actually agreed with it because you already had forsaken priests running around. But that doesn’t mean I want to recreate a scenario where we have to change a mechanic to go against the lore.

Yep in retail nobody cares about the Lore, the writing is so bad and cringe

Just give us Undead Pala

Are this people saying this eaven still working at Blizzard
They switch dev like I switch my bed sheet

I dont know, probably not and I personally dont see what that has to do with anything, its not like most of Warcraft was decanonized when Metzen stepped away.

Not until it is changed with the lore, the IP belongs to the company not the writers after all.

Read the whole post. It boils down to “Lore doesn’t have to make sense, when it comes to Player characters.” As in there doesn’t have to be lore for playercharacters. Cause nothing about player characters makes sense lorewise. Considering the timeline it’s like we both are there at every major historical event, but at the same time also completely get forgotten the moment after. And especially when you then consider killing the same guy every week and having millions of people kill/defeat the exact same guy every week. Player characters pretty much don’t have to follow lore. And it’s not like i’m asking for Evokers or Demonhunters . All i’m really asking for is for the classes/race combo’s that don’t have lore or not much but still make sense in one way or another. Paladins for example or Shaman or druid. We all see Paladin as a Religeous Warriorpriest, Shamans and druids are also rather religeous so why can’t player characters follow this religion or way of life? Not everyone from a race is the same.

Tauren rogue makes sense in the lore?

that we even get tauren and draenei rogue before night elf paladin is bonkers.
