I would rather take new customizations for existing races than “new” haronir race. I can back this up. Blizz will never listen. We need more customization for existing races!
I hope that in 12.2 they will make customization for all current races! 
I agree, lots of players are happy with the races we have and the races of their characters, catering to them would seem more effective from an effort-reward angle than just plonking in yet another new race.
But i guess “New playable race!” looks better in ads for the expansion than “New hairstyles!”…
Yeah, I know. It’s ridiculous. New race this, new race that. Please just stop this. People don’t like their favourite races being forgotten / abandoned. The game has enough races already. If they cannot meet the customization demands for the existing races, then they definitely will not meet them for any new races either.
Like, I don’t mind for new races to be perfectly honest, but yeah, expand on the existing ones please. Give them some more love.
They did a good job with Dracthyr as they won’t need more customization for a while but for some of the rest it’s well overdue

And you know I would totally buy it if we heard some news about Void Elf customization. Because I and many others have been asking for customization for them for years now. I’m very grateful for the skin colours and hair colours we got in Shadowlands, but I just cannot enjoy the game the same way anymore with the same 10 hairstyles for the last 7.5 years. And I would really really love a Starcursed hair toggle as well. And a Starcursed highlights toggle.
